Blue Jays @ Braves
More or Less Contest
Charlie Morton less than 6.5 strikeouts and Ross Stripling less than 4.5 strikeouts
I have struggled at times this season to nail down Morton's K total, but I think today is a good day to look at the less than. He will be facing a Blue Jays team that is striking out at a rate of just 20.2% vs. right-handers over the previous 10 days, which ranks eighth-best in baseball. Morton has also failed to go over 6.5 strikeouts in five of his seven starts in 2021.
Stripling will be facing a Braves lineup that is striking out at a clip of 22.7% vs. right-handers over the previous 10 days, which is ranked in the middle of the pack. Stripling has actually been much better against lefties in 2021 as he has struck out 11 of the 23 batters he has faced but has struck out just six of 56 righties. The Braves will likely be putting out a predominantly right-handed lineup, which is a big reason I like the less than in this one.

Marlins @ Diamondbacks
More or Less Contest
Trevor Rogers more than 6.5 strikeouts and Merrill Kelly more than 4.5 strikeouts
Rogers is getting the Diamondbacks at the right time in this one. Arizona has been striking out at a rate of 32.1% vs. left-handers over the previous 10 days, which ranks second-worst in baseball over that span. They are also walking at a rate of just 8.9% over that same span, which tells me Rogers can afford to be a bit wild in this one and possibly get some extra chases. He has gone over 6.5 strikeouts in four of his seven starts and has landed on six strikeouts in the other three games.
Kelly gets a Marlins squad that is currently striking out at a rate of 26% vs. right-handers over the previous 10 days, which ranks sixth-worst in the league over that span. They are also posting just a 4.1% walk rate, which is ranked second-worst in the league. Kelly has shown the ability to get over this total also as he has gone over it in each of his previous three starts.
