What's up RotoBallers. Welcome to another edition of my DraftKings DFS lineup picks and analysis. As always, my goal with this article is to help you identify viable options to insert into your DraftKings lineups, based on DFS pricing and matchups data. Here's a compilation of players I like when choosing a lineup for Sunday, October 11th.
Offense to Target for DraftKings Stacking
Toronto Blue Jays RHB vs Martin Perez
As right-handed batters, the Toronto Blue Jays held the best offense in the league against left-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 129. This great offense should not go down on Sunday without a fight, and they will have every opportunity to do so against opposing pitcher Martin Perez. Troy Tulowitzki should be a great bargain pick, while Edwin Encarnacion and Josh Donaldson provide good power potential in larger competition pools.
DFS Starting Pitcher to Consider for DraftKings
Marco Estrada (SP, TOR) - $7800
Marco Estrada should definitely be targeted as one of your two pitchers on Sunday as he faces the Texas Rangers. The Rangers held a top ten offense at home this season, holding a wOBA of .321. However, Estrada carries incredible value and ended off the year strong with four consecutive quality starts.
DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings
Jose Altuve (2B, HOU) - $5200
You just don’t know what you’re getting with the rest of the second base options available, so it is highly advisable to shell out for Jose Altuve against opposing pitcher Edinson Volquez. Altuve holds a wOBA of .319 against right-handed pitching on the season, and is batting 10 for 27 with a home run in the month of October.
Troy Tulowitzki (SS, TOR) - $4000
Troy Tulowitzki is an absolute steal at this price. He still remains one of the best home run hitting shortstops in the league and is a must start against opposing pitcher Martin Perez on the road. Tulowitzki holds a wRC+ of 132 against left-handed pitching on the year and looks to be healthy despite his pedestrian numbers in the postseason so far. The potential production is there, and the value is sky high right now.
DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings
Kevin Pillar (OF, TOR) - $4100
Kevin Pillar ended off the regular season as one of the hottest batters in the league, and also currently holds a lot of value at this price tag. Pillar only holds a wRC+ of 86 against left-handed pitching on the year, but has hit well above .300 since the start of September. He should make for a great pick as your secondary outfielder against opposing pitcher Martin Perez on the road.
Alex Rios (OF, KC) - $2700
Alex Rios will be my sleeper pick on Sunday against opposing pitcher Dallas Keuchel on the road. Rios has struggled this season and only holds a wRC+ of 54 against left-handed pitching. However, Rios has great numbers against Keuchel in his career. Rios is a lifetime 10 for 26 against the southpaw. Look for Rios as your tertiary outfielder if you have spent heavily elsewhere.
