MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Expert Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks For Today (3/31/25)

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. - Fantasy Baseball

Brandon's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Monday, 3/31/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! My name is Brandon, and this is my debut with the MLB team! You can find me and my work with the NHL and Soccer teams, respectively! Today, we have a double 'main' slate with the featured slate at 7:05 p.m. on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

Tonight, we have an eight-game slate, and the currently live top-three highest implied team totals are: Toronto with 4.9, Los Angeles Dodgers with 4.9, and Tampa Bay with 4.6.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/31/2025, with the slate starting at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Tyler Glasnow vs. ATL - DK $10K ||FD $8.4K

There are three obvious or optimal plays at pitcher for tonight’s main slate, and Tyler Glasnow of the Los Angeles Dodgers leads the trio. Glasnow throws lights out, to no surprise. In 2024, he led the World Series Champions in most meaningful metrics for pitchers, notably his stunning 32.2 percent strikeout rate.

The Atlanta Braves are coming off a series sweep at the hands of the San Diego Padres. That includes a 1-0 loss to Randy Vasquez. Last season, the Braves were the seventh-worst club in strikeout percentage against right-handed pitchers.

Considering the inconsistencies of the visitors and their lackluster performance against the Padres, Glasnow and his elite skill set are in line for a potential ceiling performance tonight.

Jackson Jobe at SEA - DK $8.8K || FD $8.4K

Jackson Jobe is scheduled to make his first major league start tonight against the Seattle Mariners. The rookie has been compared to Spencer Strider, Corbin Burnes, and even Zac Gallen.

The Seattle Mariners were not the best team against right-handed pitchers last season, but they weren't the worst either. In two games against right-handed pitchers so far this season, they have struck out a total of 10 times. Those pitchers were not of the same caliber as Jobe. It is unknown how deep the youngster will throw, but considering he leapfrogged two veterans to make the rotation, the pitching staff has high hopes and expectations for him.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. - 1B, TOR vs. Michael Soroka (DK $5.7K || FD $3.9K)

Hitting off with the bats is Toronto Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr. The first baseman is doing well to start the season. In three games, across 11 at-bats, he has three singles, two doubles, two runs, and two RBIs.

Last season against right-handed pitchers, Guerrero had a .397 wOBA and a .545 SLG. Furthermore, not including splits, he had a .408 xwOBA.

Projected starter Michael Soroka is far from an elite pitcher and was the second-worst on the White Sox starting rotation last year in strikeout rate (12.4 percent), among many other metrics. Expect Vlad to come out swinging tonight.

Nolan Arenado - 3B, STL vs. Tyler Anderson (DK $3.9K || FD $3K)

Nolan Arenado was not himself last year, posting under a .300 in wOBA against left-handed pitchers and under a .300 xwOBA without splits. However, he has started the season strong. In two games, he has four singles, one double, one home run, two runs, and two RBIs.

Projected starter Tyler Anderson is in a similar boat to the aforementioned Soroka. Not quite a top or elite arm, but he has his moments. He has also managed to shut down Arenado in four plate appearances. Can the veteran third baseman continue his hot run of form to start the season?

Jonathan Aranda - 1B/2B, TB vs. Carmen Mlodzinski (DK $2.9K || FD $2.5K)

Jonathan Aranda is one of the keys to the slate. His lower salary makes it possible to pay for the big bats, and he is in a prime matchup. Carmen Mlodzinski is not the typical starter and was another pitcher stretched out over spring training. He has a half-decent swinging-strike rate, but his strikeout rate overall is weak.

Aranda is starting the season off on a strong note. The second baseman in three games (six at-bats) has three singles, three doubles, one run, and one RBI. In 2024, Aranda was the second-best in the Rays' order, with 50 or more plate appearances in SLG, wOBA, and wRC+. Excluding splits, he was the best in xwOBA. He is expected to reach value quickly in this matchup.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Fernando Tatis Jr. - OF, SDP vs. Luis L. Ortiz (DK $5.4K || FD $4.1K)

The next big bat is Fernando Tatis Jr. The outfielder is in form right now with five singles, one home run, two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI in three games and 12 at-bats. In 2024, against right-handed pitchers, Tatis was tied for the best on the Padres roster in SLG (.547) and had the second-best wOBA (.375). Remove splits, and he had the best xwOBA.

Projected Cleveland Guardians starter Luis Ortiz is no powerhouse. In his final appearance in spring training, he allowed two runs and five hits and had one strikeout through four innings. In 2024, with the Pittsburgh Pirates, his metrics across the board were average or worse. Will Tatis finally break his cold streak against Ortiz?

Ian Happ - OF, CHI vs. Joey Estes (DK $4.8K || FD $3.3K)

The Chicago Cubs are kicking off the 2025 campaign in style…average. The Cubs are right back to where they were in 2024, and despite Ian Happ's inconsistencies, he will be relied on heavily once again. The outfielder in five games and 20 at-bats has four singles, one double, one home run, four runs, and four RBIs. How is he inconsistent with this type of production?

Almost 90 percent of his early-season production came in one game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Projected Athletics starter Joey Estes was not bad in 2024, but his numbers were average at best. The young arm had a 17 percent strikeout rate and a solid swinging-strike rate; otherwise, he sat in the middle of the league in every other metric. In two at-bats against Estes, Happ had one hit and one RBI.

Kerry Carpenter - OF, DET at Emerson Hancock (DK $4.2K || FD $3.2K)

Kerry Carpenter is far from ideal to start the season. The outfielder has one hit and one RBI in three games and eight at-bats. However, that was in a series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the performance was somewhat expected.

He gets a much friendlier matchup at T-Mobile Park against Emerson Hancock. Hancock in 2024 was beyond mediocre. He was the worst pitcher on the Mariners' roster, with 50 or more innings pitched. Not only did he have a 14.7 percent strikeout rate, but he also managed a 5.11 SIERA and a 14.1 percent home-run-to-fly-ball ratio.

The Detroit Tigers' batting order is nothing to be feared, but even in this matchup, they should thrive. Last season, Carpenter had the best SLG and wOBA against right-handed pitchers, and without splits, he had the best xwOBA.

Despite his ‘higher’ salary, he is still expected to reach value.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Toronto Blue Jays vs. Michael Soroka

As previously mentioned, Michael Soroka at this point is one of the worst pitchers still with a starting job in the league. Last season, he produced a 12.4 percent strikeout Rate, a seven percent swinging-strike rate, a -0.5 WAR, and a 19.2 percent home-run-to-fly-ball ratio. The Blue Jays were the second-worst in strikeout percentage last year against righties, but were also in the top ten in wOBA, OPS, and wRC+.

If Soroka continues to struggle, he could get pulled early.

Favorite Combo: Bichette, Guerrero, Santander, Gimenez

2. Tampa Bay Rays vs. Carmen Mlodzinski

Once again, Carmen Mlodzinski is not a typical starter, and this will be his first year getting the opportunity with the Pirates. In his short stints at the mound last year, he produced a 15.4 percent strikeout rate and a 0.2 WAR. He also had a 66 K/9+ and a 74 WHIP+.

The Rays struggled against righties overall last season. Against Mlodzinski, they should be just fine.

Favorite Combo: Lowe, Aranda, Caminero, Misner

3. Detroit Tigers vs. Emerson Hancock

Finally, we have the Tigers and Emerson Hancock. As mentioned above, Hancock was Seattle’s worst starting pitcher last season, which wasn’t a surprise either. The young pitcher showed signs in his limited appearances in 2023 as well.

In 2024, Hancock had a 14.7 percent strikeout rate and a -0.4 WAR. He also had a 67 K/9+, an 88 Stuff,+, and a 107 WHIP+. His lack of command and home-run-to-fly-ball ratio sets up the Tigers for a big game tonight.

Favorite Combo: Carpenter, Greene, Torkelson, Keith
