Our Saturday night is a bit lighter with nine games tonight, but we have some good ones. The I-70 series and the Windy City series are just two of those nine games. The Coors game is on the slate, so deciding what to do with that mess up in Denver will go a long way toward deciding this slate.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on Saturday, August 10, 2024, with the slate starting at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Paul Skenes at LAD ($10.2K DraftKings; $10.8K FanDuel)
Are we really going to throw a rookie at this Dodgers lineup? Well...the guy started the All-Star game, so why not? He has already faced the Dodgers once this season, turning in a respectable 36 points on FanDuel and 21.1 on DraftKings. That was two months ago. The Dodgers are striking out at an alarming 26% rate against RHP in the last month. Skenes will probably give up a couple of runs, but he should pile up the strikeouts as well.

Justin Steele at CWS ($8.8K DraftKings; $9.5K FanDuel)
The White Sox just can't hit lefties. The 25.9% strikeout rate over the last month says a lot, but more glaring is the league-worst (by far) .086 ISO in that span and 5 wRC. That's not a typo. Five! No other team has been anywhere close to as bad against lefties recently. If you don't trust Skenes against the Dodgers, Steele is in an absolute smash spot.
Max Fried at COL ($7K DraftKings; $9.7K FanDuel)
We were discussing in the premium Discord channel last night about the Reds' struggles against lefties. Snellzilla proceeded to no-hit the Reds. I'm not saying Harrison will do the same, but he should turn in another strong outing. He has only allowed two runs in 17 innings over his last three starts while striking out 20.
Also consider: Logan Gilbert vs. NYM, Aaron Nola at ARI, Sean Manaea at SEA

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Jose Ramirez – 3B, CLE vs. Simeon Woods Richardson ($6.1K DK; $4.2K FD)
Ramirez is hitting a blistering .342 over the last 10 games with four homers, 11 RBI, nine runs scored, and five steals. That's elite production worth paying for.
Vinnie Pasquantino – 1B, KC vs. Andre Pallante ($4.9K DK; $3.3K FD)
I mean...what are we even doing here? Vinnie P has six homers (not to mention a staggering 17 RBI) in the last nine games. He hit 11 in his first 104 games of the season. This is a hot streak I'm all in on the ridiculous discount on FD. He's plenty cheap enough on DK too. We should see the "Pasquatch" again tonight.
The Pasquach that walks out when Vinnie Pasquantino gets a hit is one of my favorite things in sports.

Jackson Holliday – 2B, BAL vs. Ryan Pepiot ($3.3K DK; $2.8K FD)
The Rays have gone one entire turn through the rotation without having a starter or long reliever go more than five innings. Three of them made it less than five innings. The bullpen is taxed and Ryan Pepiot is expected to make his first start since July 14. He is likely to be on a pitch count, meaning much more work for an already overworked bullpen.
Holliday was recalled to the majors on July 31. He has hit all four of his homers on the season since and driven in 11 of his 12 runs. Holliday is way too cheap for the production we're getting right now.
Also consider: Josh Naylor, Bobby Witt Jr., Ketel Marte,
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Kyle Schwarber – OF, PHI vs. Zac Gallen ($5.4K DK; $4.1K FD)
We have seen ridiculous hot streaks from Schwarber before. He's in the middle of one of those now. This could be why.
Kyle Schwarber went 4-4 with 3 HR’s and a double last night.
Kyle has now hit 8 HR’s since July 27th.
Kyle has been holding the bat in the transverse arch of his hands for the past couple of weeks. He’d held it in the medial longitudinal arch for the majority of his career.… pic.twitter.com/UUq5lt77zG
— Tommy Maestas (@tommym8) August 8, 2024
Schwarber is hitting .385 (with a crazy 1.356 OPS) in the last 10 games with five homers, 10 RBI, and 11 runs scored. Gallen is one of the better pitchers on this slate, but I've learned that trusting a white-hot Schwarber can be the path to a righteous DFS lineup.
Colton Cowser – OF, BAL vs. Ryan Pepiot ($4.4K DK; $3.1K FD)
I didn't intend to go after Pepiot and the taxed Rays' pen, but it's kind of working out that way. Cowser is hitting .346 with six homers and 20 RBI in 21 games since the All-Star break. Two of those have come in the last two games. Cowser batting leadoff for the O's has been a smashing success, and the price doesn't show it. This is where we take advantage.
Matt Wallner – OF, MIN vs. Gavin Williams ($4K DK; $3.1K FD)
Wallner only starts against righties, but it has worked out well for him. He is hitting .367 with four homers, 10 RBI, and nine runs scored in his last 10 starts. In just 281 career at-bats against RHP, Wallner has 20 homers and 60 RBI. That projects to MVP numbers over an entire season.
Also consider: Anthony Santander, Cody Bellinger, Joc Pederson
