Happy Tuesday, RotoBallers! After we skipped a Tuesday due to the All-Star game, MLB DFS is back with a bang and an 11-game slate. We've got the Subway Series between the Mets and Yankees to kick us off at 7:05 p.m. EDT before another 10 games take us through the remainder of the evening.
Garrett Crochet is one of the hottest names on the trade market, but the White Sox front office may fear a hit to his value after a matchup with Texas. Over the last month, the Rangers have obliterated southpaws with a .267/.362/.522 slash line and the team's .378 wOBA is fourth-best in baseball. As of this publishing, the only weather to look out for is strong winds in the Houston-Oakland game. It's a strong left-to-right breeze, which may help some pull-happy lefties or oppo-taco right-handed power.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 7/23/2024 and the slate locking at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Chris Sale - LHP, ATL vs. Reds ($10.5K DraftKings; $11.2K FanDuel)
It's been nothing short of a career renaissance for Chris Sale in Atlanta. The Braves lefty has already pitched more innings in 2024 than in 2022 and 2023 combined and is well on his way to his most innings pitched since 2018. Sale sports a 2.70 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and an eye-catching 32.4% strikeout rate on the year. Cincinnati has had severe trouble with southpaws over the last month. Since June 24, the Reds own the fifth-highest strikeout rate (26.4%) to lefties and the fifth-lowest OBP (.296). It's a match made in heaven for Sale, and he's well worth the premium price tag.
Jameson Taillon - RHP, MIL vs. Cubs ($8.3K DK; $9.2K FD)
It feels a little early in the season for a pitcher to be facing a team for a fourth time, but that's where Jameson Taillon is when he pitches against the Brewers on Tuesday night. In the three previous outings, the right-handed pitcher averaged 34.0 FanDuel PPG. The 32-year-old isn't a flamethrower or a strikeout machine (19.4% K%) by any means, but his strength can neutralize a patient Brewers squad. Milwaukee has the fifth-highest walk rate to RHPs over the last 30 days, but Taillon's 4.7% walk rate is the ninth-best in baseball among qualified pitchers. The former Yankee is a perfect low-end SP1 or steady SP2 in your lineup.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Carlos Narvaez - C, NYY vs. Jose Quintana ($2.0K DK; $2.0K FD)
With left-handed Jose Quintana on the mound for the Mets, the Yankees should deploy Carlos Narvaez in a platoon role. Austin Wells has played the last six games against right-handed pitchers and likely needs a rest anyway. The bare minimum price tag makes the 25-year-old an upside-only play on Tuesday's slate. Any production is icing on an extremely cheap cake.
Michael Busch - 1B/2B/3B, CHC vs. Colin Rea ($x.xK DK; $2.9K FD)
Earlier in the season, Michael Busch proved to fantasy managers what he can do when his bat is hot. From April 5 to April 15 (10 games), Chicago's first baseman hit .333 with six home runs and 11 RBI. While he's not that hot to start the second half, there are signs of it coming on for the 26-year-old. In July, Busch owns a .877 OPS and has lowered his strikeout rate from a season-long 30.9% to 22.1% in the last 15 games. Colin Rea doesn't pose any strikeout threat to the Cubs lineup and concedes a below-average 8.9% barrel rate.

Maikel Garcia - 2B/3B, KC vs. Jordan Montgomery ($4.4K DK; $2.9K FD)
While Maikel Garcia has lost his everyday leadoff spot to Adam Frazier for the Royals, he still gets the nod against left-handed pitching. His DraftKings price is a little rich, but he grades out as a value on FanDuel. After a not-so-hot June, Garcia has rebounded in July. His splits look far better at home compared to the road, so the 24-year-old will be pleased to hit atop the lineup in Kauffman Stadium. Jordan Montgomery is having a terrible season for Arizona, and his 6.44 ERA and 1.68 WHIP should be exploited by a Royals offense that needs a shot in the arm.
Also consider: Dominic Smith, Jon Singleton, Leo Jimenez, DJ LeMahieu, Ezequiel Tovar
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Yordan Alvarez - OF, HOU at Osvaldo Bido ($5.5K DK; $4.1K FD)
It's hard to keep a hitter of Yordan Alvarez's quality down for long. After 10 games without an extra-base hit, Alvarez exploded on Sunday with the 10th cycle in Astros history. While the left-handed slugger is good everywhere, he's been incredibly productive on the road in 2024. In 48 away games, Alvarez owns a 1.091 OPS with 37 runs, 37 RBI, 30 extra-base hits (15 home runs), and three stolen bases. He's the eighth-most expensive outfielder on DK and the sixth-most expensive outfielder on FD, but a hitter of his talent can quickly end any evening with the highest score on the slate.

Ceddanne Rafaela - OF/SS, BOS at Ty Blach ($4.6K DK; $3.3K FD)
DFS managers don't need much of an invitation to roster any hitters at Coors Field, but the Red Sox are hotter than hot and worth the price. While Jarren Duran ($6.0K DK; $4.3K FD) and Tyler O'Neill ($5.7K DK; $4.2K FD) lead the outfield prices, we should pay attention to Ceddanne Rafaela. Over the last week, the Red Sox utility bat is slashing .375/.412/.375 with three runs, an RBI, and two steals. The lack of power should be aided in Coors Field, and the amount of baserunners in front of Rafaela should bring about more RBI opportunities. While Duran and O'Neill are more expensive, DFS managers could take the discount and use it elsewhere in their lineups.
Victor Robles - OF, SEA vs. Jose Soriano ($2.4K DK; $2.6K FD)
Let's take the free space on Tuesday with Victor Robles. Every day is new in DFS, so we can ignore the history of prospects who didn't quite live up to the hype. It makes players like Robles desirable, especially at his Tuesday price point. Any batting at the top of the lineup below $4.0K in DFS is desirable, so someone at $2.4K on DraftKings is like gold dust. It doesn't hurt that Robles is on a four-game hit streak and has another four multi-hit efforts in his previous six games.
Victor Robles holds a 1.053 OPS over his first 25 games with Seattle.
It's the best OPS over a player's first 25 games with the @Mariners since Nelson Cruz's 1.175 OPS (25 G, April 6-May 3, 2015).
