Happy Thursday, RotoBallers! After the Tigers, Royals, and Padres swept their opponents, we are left with one Game 3 showdown between the Mets and Brewers. It'll be Jose Quintana versus Tobias Myers to start, but DFS managers should expect both teams to use their entire bullpens to advance to the next round.
For showdown mode on DK, we pick one captain who costs 1.5x his salary but also scores 1.5x the points. We must have at least one player from each team, and relievers are fair game if you think you have a bead on which relievers will pitch.
On FanDuel, the format is a bit different. Player salaries aren't multiplied, but you get one MVP who scores double points, one Star who scores 1.5x points, and three utility slots. Oh...and it's only hitters.

DraftKings, FanDuel Captain/MVP - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Francisco Lindor - SS, NYM at Tobias Myers ($14.7K DraftKings; $9.5K FanDuel)
If we lived in a world without Shohei Ohtani, Francisco Lindor would be waltzing to an NL MVP award. The Mets' shortstop has yet to open his postseason account, but it's only a matter of time.
In 152 games, the 30-year-old set new five-year highs in average (.273), OBP (.344), SLG (.500), wOBA (.363), and home runs (33). Lindor was a colossal reason New York made the postseason, and he'll need to come through on Thursday if the Mets want to meet the Dodgers in the next round.

Jackson Chourio - OF, MIL vs. Jose Quintana ($12.0K DK; $7.5K FD)
Meanwhile, on the other side of the diamond, Jackson Chourio has enjoyed a remarkable rookie campaign and has carried that momentum into the postseason. In an odd scheduling quirk, his last five games have come against the Mets, and he's crushing against them.
In the outfielders' last five games, he's gone 8-for-21 (.381) with three runs, four RBI, a double, two home runs, and a steal. He'll hit leadoff for the Brewers again and should be good for four to five at-bats for the team with the sixth-most runs scored in the league.

DraftKings, FanDuel UTIL - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Tobias Myers - P, MIL vs. NYM ($10.8K DK) - DraftKings only
Due to the nature of an elimination game, avoiding both pitchers is a smart play in cash games. However, if you want to risk it for the biscuit, you can do worse than Tobias Myers.
Down the stretch of the Brewers season, Myers was limited to four-inning outings. However, in a six-game stretch between Aug. 10-Sep. 7, the 26-year-old recorded outings of seven, nine, and 11 strikeouts. That sort of upside will play nicely in tournaments, making Myers an option on DraftKings.
Mets will likely face Tobias Myers tomorrow night. He threw 4 shutout innings against the Mets last Saturday.

Francisco Alvarez - C, NYM at Tobias Myers ($5.2K DK; $5.0K FD)
The Mets have anchored Francisco Alvarez to the bottom of the lineup in recent games, but he's performing far better than his slot. The former top prospect has four hits in his last four games with two runs, four RBI, and a double. There's sneaky power potential versus a pitcher making his postseason debut.
Blake Perkins - OF, MIL vs. Jose Quintana ($4.2K DK; $7.0K FD)
Blake Perkins' pricetag doesn't scream value, but you are essentially buying his potential lineup spot. The outfielder hit second for Milwaukee in their do-or-die Game 2 win. Hitting between Jackson Chourio and William Contreras should spell good times for Blake Perkins.
