Chris Durell highlights the top MLB DFS lineup picks for 4/16/16, as well as sleepers for your daily fantasy baseball roster on FanDuel
We have a split slate on Saturday with eight games in the afternoon and seven in the evening. There are a handful of elite pitching options on both slates combined with some nice value plays to make it easy to pay up for talent.
As of writing this the weather looks pretty solid all around but make sure to double check prior to lineup lock.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/16/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.
DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel
St. Louis Cardinals vs. Brandon Finnegan(Early)
Great matchup for the RH heavy lineup of the Cards going up against an unproven lefty who can walk guys and get into trouble.
Chicago Cubs vs. Christian Bergman(Early)
Stack the lefty bats at the top of the Cubs order vs. a fill in pitcher.
Baltimore Orioles vs. Colby Lewis(Main)
Top offense in the American League coming off an 11 run outburst in game one of the series in a great hitters park.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel
Jake Arrieta vs. COL
Has picked up where he left off in 2015 when he went 22-6. Has won each of his first two games going seven innings in each while striking out six. Decent matchup vs. the Rockies away from Coors Field. Top pitching option in the early slate.
Max Scherzer @ PHI
Elite pitcher going up against one of the weakest offenses in baseball. Insert into lineup and fill in around him. Cheaper than Arrieta.
Jered Weaver @ MIN
Great matchup vs. the Twins who have only scored 19 runs in 10 games while going 1-9 to start the season.
DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel
Catcher (C) - Yadier Molina
During his current six game hit streak he has multiple hits in four straight, an extra base hit in four of the six games and added five RBI. He gets a nice matchup vs. lefty Brandon Finnegan and hits 5th for the Cards.
First Base (1B) - David Ortiz
He continually beats up on the Blue Jays and did it once again in the series opener last night with 24 FanDuel points. Gets another decent matchup on Saturday vs. Marco Estrada who has been known to give up the long ball despite his strikeout upside.
Second Base (2B) - Brett Lawrie
Has been a very consistent option to start the season with hits in all but two games with his new team. Comes at very cheap price on a day with not so many attractive options at the position.
Shortstop (SS) - Xander Bogaerts
Anther terrific cash game option who has been hitting with confidence and consistency. Comes into this game with a seven game hit streak and hits hits in front of Big Papi in the Red Sox lineup.
Third Base (3B) - Manny Machado
He leads the league with 17 hits to open the season on one of the hottest teams in the majors. Prime spot in the lineup and gets a favorable matchup vs. Colby Lewis on Saturday.
DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel
There is enough value to fit Harper in your lineups comfortably today. The reigning National League MVP is at it again with elite numbers across the board and is one of the most exciting players to watch play the game.
After back to back years with gigantic improvements he is at it again to start the 2016 season. While he hasn't seen the power yet(only one HR) he has 14 hits in nine games, good for a .412 average. He has scored double digit FanDuel points in four of his last five games.
There is no power hitter that is hotter over the past week than Trumbo. He has slugged five home runs in his last five games with 11 RBI and has scored an average of 25 FanDuel points per game. Great value under in the mid $3K price range.
Red hot bat in the middle of the Cardinals lineup. He is riding a four game hit streak with home runs in two straight and double digit FanDuel points in five straight games.
