Daily Pitcher Matchup Ratings Tool Top Plays

Stephen Strasburg (SP, WAS) at Mets

Strasburg gets a date with the Mets today, a team that is in the bottom-five versus RHP. The Mets .664 OPS vs RHP is third-worst in baseball. A duel with Matt Harvey looks challenging on paper, but this isn't the same Dark Knight. Nats win big.

Chris Sale (SP, CWS) vs Astros

FanDuel - $10,100 / DraftKings - $10,300

It's a tough matchup versus the power-hitting 'Stros, but this Sale we are talking about. The Astros strike out 25.6% of the time versus LHP, worst in baseball.

Max’s Value Plays of the Day

Jeff Samardzija (SP, SFG) at Padres

FanDuel - $8,300 / DraftKings - $8,200

Picking on the Padres till the Giants leave town. The Padres .658 OPS vs RHP is second-worst in baseball and Shark has been piling up the K's.

Jeff Locke (SP, PIT) vs Braves

FanDuel - $6,000 / DraftKings - $6,800

Braves get the same treatment as the Padres. The Braves strike out 22.1% of the time versus LHP, fourth-worst in baseball. The price break due to Locke's inconsistency only solidify's the value of this play.

Starting Pitchers to Fade in Daily Fantasy Baseball

Michael Wacha (SP, STL) vs Rockies

FanDuel - $8,500 / DraftKings - $10,900

Wacha only had a 6.9 K/9 rate at home last year and the Rockies .740 OPS vs RHP is fourth-best in baseball. Opponent Jon Gray has been hot as well, making this a risky play.

Matt Harvey (SP, NYM) vs Nationals

FanDuel - $7,500 / DraftKings - $5,700

See above about Dark Knight's struggles and the juicy matchup for Strasburg here. The Nationals have been a top-10 team versus righties, and while Harvey has had success versus the Nats previously, he can't be trusted right now.
