MLB Betting Picks for Wednesday 7/21 - Moneylines and Totals!

John 'LucidMedia' Brubaker's MLB betting picks for 7/21/2021. He breaks down today's MLB slate and recommends the top wagers and bets on totals and more!

Happy Wednesday RotoBallers! John, aka 'LucidMedia," back with your MLB betting picks for this Wednesday, July 21st! We had a tough day on Monday, with two not-so-great beats. We look to get back at it today during today's slate of games, and I'm looking at a few games I see some nice value picks in to get us going today.

I will be doing these picks for you every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday going forward this baseball season. Just to let you know, I mainly bet on FanDuel Sportsbook, and that's where the odds below will be coming from. I know not everyone is able to bet on Fanduel, so if you are betting elsewhere just make sure to shop around and find the best odds.

We have been really increasing our sports betting content at RotoBaller, and this year will be no different. Tommy Bell (@BellRoto) will be handling things over in our premium offering. Steve Janik (@stevejanik6) will be carrying the free picks on during the week throughout the season with some help from yours truly. And Kipp Heisterman (@kipppsta) brings you the Monkey Knife Fight picks. Let's make some money and have fun. but remember, please gamble responsibly! The RotoBaller team has had a great month of July on the books so far, so let's finish it out strong and make some money!

Kansas City Royals @ Milwaukee Brewers

O/U: 9 | Moneyline: MIL -188

KC: Brad Keller | MIL: Eric Lauer

Just like Monday, I'll be running back a play I lost yesterday with the Brewers. I can see now as I'm posting this the line has jumped since I took this myself. Eric Lauer is expected to take the hill today for Milwaukee, and he's been fantastic of late, posting three consecutive quality starts. Aside from yesterday, the Royals do not fare well against lefties, and we hope Lauer can exploit that today.

The Brewers' offense is nothing if not inconsistent, and we saw that yesterday. They out-hit the Royals but managed to drop the game 5-2. They'll get a "run it back" opportunity this afternoon to avoid the sweep, facing Brad Keller who has not been great over the past 30 days, bringing in a 5.85 xFIP in that span. I'm backing the Brew Crew

Pick: Brewers Moneyline (-167) FanDuel Sportsbook

Seattle Mariners @ Colorado Rockies

O/U: 11.5 | Moneyline: COL -140

SEA: Chris Flexen (PLR) | COL: Austin Gomber

Austin Gomber is finally back in the rotation for the Rox. If you remember back in the first half I talked about a guy who has "figured out Coors", and that he has. Gomber threw 30.1 innings in the first half at Coors and came out the other side with an astonishing 1.48 ERA. He gets a solid matchup today as Seattle comes in with a .678 OPS against left-handed pitching, which ranks 26th in the league. I expect him to pick up where he left off before his short IL stint.

On the other side, it appears that one of my favorite pitchers to watch this season will take the mound for Seattle. Chris Flexen, or "KBO Chris" as I like to call him (shoutout to the KBO, by the way), has been wonderful in his first season back in the states. It looks like they will run an opener out there before him, so that should lighten the workload. The Under is 5-0 in the Rockies' last five games as a home favorite and 10-1 in their last 11 home games overall. Nine of those have come with the total being set at 11 or higher, which it is today. I'm on the under.

Picks: Under 11.5 (-110), FanDuel Sportsbook

Let's get after it today! We have a long second half ahead of us, so let's have some fun and win some money!
