BALLER MOVE: Add in 2QB Leagues
OWNED IN: 19% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: That's it. I've seen enough. I need to watch no more. It's officially Mitchell Trubisky Season now. If you don't believe me, go check his last game against Dallas this past Thursday and then pick your mouth up off the floor. Trubisky had been hot lately with back-to-back 25 and 29 fantasy point-performances but what he did against the Cowboys just sealed the deal for me. Trubisky finished with 244 yards on 23-for-31 completions for three touchdowns while being picked just once. Oh, I forgot to mention that he also was able to add 63 yards and another touchdown on the ground through 10 carries. Insane.
I know. I know that is Trubisky's ceiling (he scored 36.5 fantasy points), but three games in a row scoring over 25 fantasy points (and four of his last five doing so) are no joke and should be taken very seriously at this point in the fantasy season. We also expected Ryan Tannehill to regress, and look at us being fooled. Trubisky is on the same path to end the year mashing. He's passed for at least a touchdown and a total 11 in his last five games, and he's broken the 240-yard mark in his last three. Trubisky has also averaged the highest passing distance of his season during his last three outings (7.8 YPA compared to 5.6 YPA before that) and he's also scored twice rushing in that span.
It all could have been a mirage in weeks 12 and 13 as the Giants and Lions rank 26th and 25th against QBs, but the Cowboys have the 10th-best defense and they're killed by Trubisky. He now faces divisional foe Green Bay (eighth-best defense against the position) in a tough game, but you know what Trubisky's doing these days. I'd consider adding Trubisky even in single-quarterback leagues, but the matchup might call for pause there. In any other type of deeper (14+ teams) or 2QB league, though, picking up and playing Trubisky should be a no-brainer ROS. Waste no time adding him to your roster and get ready to watch him win you the semis en route to the championship game of your league.
