ANALYSIS: Even with big men Al Horford and Darius Bazley occupying the Thunder front court, eighth-year center Mike Muscala is still getting some of the most playing time per night of his career (18.6 minutes per game), and he is contributing in the most efficient manner that he has been able to achieve since arriving in the NBA. Muscala is averaging a career-high 11.0 points with 3.4 rebounds a night, and while his contributions in the departments of defense and assists are still minimal, it is his shooting accuracy that should catch your attention.

Go Premium, Win More!In pumping up his activity from outside (4.8 deep attempts per game), Muscala has been dead-eye from deep with a conversion rate of 45.8%, while he has failed to miss a free throw to this point on 1.2 tries per contest, and has reached by far the best two-point shooting percentage of his career early on at .667, culminating in an effective shooting percentage of 68.1%. Even in shooting 1-4 from three and 2-6 from the field overall in yesterday's win over Orlando, he still finished the night with eight points and six rebounds. Oklahoma City has found a straightforward use for Mike Muscala as an offense-first center, and with his rate of error so astoundingly low to kick off the 2020-2021 campaign and with him managing a serviceable total of rebounds on every other night, he makes an excellent choice for some widely-available scoring at a position where that can be quite tough to come by.
