Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans showed last week he can be as good as last year with a solid seven catches for 101 yards. This coming off a Week 2 performance in which he was held without a reception.
Jameis Winston targeted Evans 17 times on the day, easily the highest on the team. While 10 of those went incomplete, it shows Winston trusts Evans enough to throw it his way so that he can compete for balls with his 6'5" height.
Playing in a tough divisional game this week against the Carolina Panthers, I expect more of the same from Winston and Evans. It helps that Austin Seferian-Jenkins is doubtful to play for the second straight week. Rookies love their big targets, and Mike Evans is clearly the best option on that offense.
