ANALYSIS: Miguel Andujar's ownership rate has skyrocketed in the last 48 hours, from the low teens to above 60 percent. That tends to happen when a former top prospect for one of the league's marquee teams records a six-game hitting streak that includes five multi-hit efforts and three home runs. The tools have typically been more impressive than the results for Andujar thus far in his professional career, but his combination of power and contact ability is intriguing.
The 23-year-old isn't known for taking walks, but he also rarely whiffs; Andujar routinely posted strikeout rates in the low-teens as a prospect despite being young for his level at every step, and he's carried that over to his early MLB performance. A spot in the bottom third of the Yankees order will limit his run production, but the talent is undeniable.
