There are key performances, prospect promotions, and injuries to watch for this week. Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Austin Hays is heating up, hitting .361 (13-for-36) with three home runs and nine RBI over his last nine games. The Athletics promoted first baseman Nick Kurtz on Wednesday, who had an RBI single in his MLB debut, while the Marlins recently called up catcher/first baseman Agustin Ramirez. Ramirez is 5-for-6 with three doubles and a stolen base over two games. Injuries continue to pile up as Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager was placed on the injured list while Will Smith and Edwin Diaz are day-to-day.
