BALLER MOVE: Add In Deep Leagues
ANALYSIS: For those of you who lived through the 2011 fantasy baseball season, you'd remember Michael Pineda busting onto the scene behind King Felix in Seattle's rotation. Some might have even remembered him putting up a better strikeout rate than Felix Hernandez, as he struck out 9.11 batters per 9 innings (8.55 for The King), good for 7th in the major leagues in 2011. Then came the big trade to the Yankees for Jesus Montero, and the subsequent shoulder injury that derailed his bright career trajectory. Now 2 years removed from that injury, the 6 foot 7 Dominican right hander is having a very nice spring training for the Yankees who are in desperate need of another quality arm. This guy is often forgotten about until the very late rounds of mixed league drafts, and sometimes even goes undrafted, so we recommend you run to your waiver wire to check his availability.
