ANALYSIS: Like the entire White Sox team, Melky Cabrera is exceeding expectations this season. Currently at .308, he is on pace for a fourth season over .300. After his 50-game suspension for elevated testosterone in 2012, many have expected Cabrera to fall off, but he continues to be productive. He only has two homers and has never hit 20 in a season, but 15 HR and 70 RBI are certainly attainable. Cabrera has always been a high-average hitter and can produce across multiple categories. His greatest value at the moment is in the run-scoring category. His 19 R currently puts him in the top 20 among AL hitters. Hitting fifth behind Jose Abreu and Todd Frazier promises more RBI opportunities to come as well. With no real threat to his playing time, deep league owners can feel comfortable plugging in Cabrera knowing he will be a big part of the White Sox offense this year.
