Mecole Hardman (WR, KC) - Week 9 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: At this point in time, you know how the Chiefs offense operates: Patrick Mahomes mans the team from the pocket, he demolishes defenses no matter what, and someone from the receiving corps eats. Always. The problem, of course, is knowing who's day is going to be. That's why neither of Mecole Hardman, Demarcus Robinson, or Sammy Watkins is rostered in 99% of leagues.

But even if there is a risk in putting any of those receivers in your lineups, when they hit, they hit. Enter Mecole Hardman, who was the prime beneficiary for another gem by Mahomes on Sunday. Hardman posted his season-best game to date with 22.6 PPR points, catching 7 of 9 targets for 96 yards and getting into the end zone for a receiving touchdown too. It was the third time he's scored 12+ PPR points this season, and the second above 18.

You know the Chiefs are special when you check the leaderboards and find two players above Hardman, Hill (25.8) and Kelce (24.9), in PPR points. But that's not bad. Hardman has out-scored teammate Demarcus Robinson two weeks in a row, and in three out of the last four games, so he can be considered the WR2 at least until Sammy Watkins is back (he didn't practice at all last week).

For someone scoring around 10 PPR per game, and with upside to entering the 20+ realm and WR1 group of performers any given week, you shouldn't be losing your time reading my words and instead go get him. It's not an all-league addition because of Hill and Kelce, but in 10/12+ team formats, he's a must-add and weekly FLEX play at least.
