BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 51% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: We're breaking the 50%-rostership-at-most rule, but this could turn into a league-winning WW target so it makes sense to cover Mecole Hardman. As I have said in other past WW columns I have writing about Kansas City's players, it's a little bit hard to predict what will happen on any given week with its offensive assets. Pat Mahomes will always deliver, but we just don't know which mouth will be the one he'll feed the most. Can't have everything, folks.
Hardman hasn't been overly great to start the year, putting up measly 4.9, 10.5, and 12.5 PPR-point tallies so far this season but growing weekly. Hardman is playing more than 65 percent of the offensive snaps, and he's been targeted 3+ times in every game he's played through Week 3. He was über-efficient this past Sunday going 3-of-4 on caught passes for 33 yards and a touchdown. That is not a very sustainable line, but it surely seems possible to put up weekly in this offense.
Other than Tyreek Hill's ridiculous 37.1 PPR-point performance from Week 1, no other player-game has seen a Kansas City receiver top 14.3 FP this season. That should bode well (in terms of the looming positive regression ahead) for all Chiefs pass-catchers going forward. If Hill is not thriving we can't be calling out Hardman for not doing so either. Hardman should be fighting Demarcus Robinson for the WR2 role behind Hill, and he's a guaranteed starter in Pat Mahomes' offense. Reason enough to get some shares of Hardman as a WR3 with upside for an explosion any day.
