ANALYSIS: I know, I know. I'm breaking the golden rule of not writing WW posts about players rostered in more than half of Yahoo leagues, but this one was just a no-brainer to include in this week's batch of targets. We focus on <30% players, sometimes cross the 40% line, but rarely do we present guys rostered in more than 50% of the leagues. Unless they play for the Kansas City Chiefs, I guess.

Mecole Hardman has grown into an important player for the Chiefs without anyone noticing. Slowly but surely, Hardman has solidified himself as the WR2 of the team and third-best pass-catcher only behind WR Tyreek Hill and TE Travis Kelce. Don't get it wrong, though. Both Hill and Kelce are ways away from Hardman's weekly upside and volume, but the good (or bad?) thing about the Chiefs offense and having Patrick Mahomes manning the pocket is that somebody always eats no matter what. Hardman has yet to have that breakout game this season, but I'm convinced it will come (sooner rather than later).

After scoring just 4.9 PPR points in W1, Hardman doubled on that tally with a 10.5-point PPR tally in W2 to the tune of an 8-5-55 performance in which he only lacked scoring a touchdown. Hardman led the team in targets (8) along with Kelce, and only Hill in W1 has posted a higher number (15) through two weeks in a single game. Hardman went from appearing in 69% of the team's snaps to 78% this past Sunday while Demarcus Robinson--his main threat for that WR2/WR3 role; no, not buying Byron Pringle over here--dropped his presence from 74% to just 59% against Baltimore. Hardman is nothing more of a boom/bust player than anything else, but he should be rostered and probably started at the FLEX if only because of the what-if potential attached to Kansas City's offense with Pat throwing the ball.
