BALLER MOVE: Stash In 12+ Team Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: Late July/August
ANALYSIS: Miami Marlins' No. 3 prospect, Max Meyer, has had an interesting 2024 campaign so far. After undergoing Tommy John surgery during the 2022 season, the Marlins have been extremely careful with their young pitcher. He started the year with the major league club before being optioned to Triple-A after three starts.
However, his option down wasn't performance-based. Meyer gave up two earned runs or less in all three of his starts while striking out 14 combined batters. Instead, the Marlins optioned him because they wanted to limit his innings pitched after missing the entire 2023 season with an elbow injury.
So, MLB Pipeline's No. 81 overall prospect has been pitching at Triple-A Jacksonville over the past couple of months. Meyer, though, hasn't necessarily seen the results there, as he currently owns a 5.36 ERA across 12 starts. But in his most recent outing on July 2, the right-hander tossed 4 2/3 scoreless innings with six strikeouts.

The potential is there for Meyer to post solid numbers in the majors in 2024. While there hasn't been any talk about bringing him up just yet, he should find his way back on the roster sometime after the All-Star break. As a result, fantasy managers in 12-plus team leagues should be stashing him right now.
