BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 17 percent of Fleaflicker leagues
ANALYSIS: Max Kepler has been one of the best outfielders in baseball over the last month, but you wouldn't know it by his tiny ownership rate. Since June 18, he's produced a .267/.350/.593 line, with seven home runs, 43 R+RBI, and a couple of steals to boot. Kepler's minor league numbers weren't overly impressive until his breakout at Double-A last season. Even then, he only hit nine homers in 482 plate appearances. We can probably expect some regression in the power department moving forward, but Kepler boasts a solid batting eye and enough speed to steal double-digit bags annually. He also makes excellent contact, with a hard-hit rate near 40 percent and above-average exit velocity.
It's a lost season for the Twins, but the organization and their fans should be encouraged by what the 23 year old rookie from Germany has shown thus far.
