ANALYSIS: The Lions kicked Matt Patricia out of the organization, made Darrell Bevell their interim head coach, fell down by more than a few points yesterday, but pulled off the comeback thanks to a great run of plays by the new HC and QB Matthew Stafford. The veteran quarterback has been disappointing only in that the Lions are a losing team and that doesn't seem to be close to change soon. Other than their overall record, though, Stafford has been a top-20 fantasy player this season and currently ranks as the QB11 of 2020.

That 55 percent rostership in Yahoo leagues is really high already, but with Stafford still available in almost half of leagues, you better check your WW in case you win the lottery. If you do, congratulations, because big old Matt can be your ticket to the chip this season. Stafford is averaging 18.0 FP per game this season. He's having some turnover woes, as he's thrown 12 interceptions already, but he's more than made up for that with his volume on all other "positive" stats through the year.

Stafford has 21 TDs through W13 and this past Sunday he logged his season-best passing-yardage game reaching 402 yards on just 27 completions (42 attempts; 64.3% completion rate). That impressive performance ranked Stafford as the QB4 of the weekend, pending MNF. Stafford has finished half of his games above 18 FP, and he's scored 23+ FP four of those times. His floor is closer to 15 FP rather than the 10 or 7 he was limited two a couple of times in the past five weeks, and he comes off his best game of the year after scoring 27.1 FP facing Chicago on the road.

The Lions have a tough defense coming to town in Green Bay's next week, but they face the 28th-, 25th-, and 20th-best defenses against fantasy passers ROS. If you are in the postseason, definitely make Stafford a priority to put in your roster. He could very well win you the chip in this 2020 season.
