BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 28% of leagues
ANALYSIS: When the Mets shipped him to Cincinnati earlier this season, it was fair to wonder if we were seeing the end of Matt Harvey's major league career. The one-time ace hadn't looked like anything close to his former self in the last three years, and the spotty track record for recoveries from thoracic outlet syndrome didn't inspire much optimism. Nor did Harvey's first seven starts for the Reds, in which he completed the sixth inning only twice and posted a 5.09 ERA.
If more recent performances are any indication, though, the Dark Knight may well be rising - if not to his prior lofty status, at least to being a mixed-league relevant arm again. In his last four outings, Harvey has beaten the Cubs, Braves, and Brewers, playoff contenders all. Against Milwaukee, Harvey took a perfect game into the fifth, and his velocity has been steadily climbing since the trade. Keep your expectations modest, but Harvey's officially worth a flier at this point.
