The 2023 NASCAR season has been another strong one for Martin Truex Jr., as the 2017 NASCAR Cup Series champion currently sits in second place in this year's points race.
Truex has found victory lane twice this year for the Joe Gibbs team, as the No. 19 Toyota has been one of the season's most consistent performers.
However, he heads to this week's New Hampshire Crayon 301 in a bit of a slump, having finished no better than 29th in each of his last two starts. Truex also has been stumped at New Hampshire and has never won at "The Magic Mile". What is Martin Truex Jr.'s starting position and outlook in the NASCAR Cup Series Crayon 301 on Monday, July 17th, 2023?

What Is Martin Truex Jr.'s Starting Position At New Hampshire?
Martin Truex, Jr. has had plenty of strong runs at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, but has yet to get to victory lane in the NASCAR Cup Series at this track. Over 29 career starts here, Truex has led 916 laps--which is 2nd-most among all active drivers--but has never finished better than 3rd at "The Magic Mile."
That could change this weekend, though. Truex and his teammate, Christopher Bell, were in a league of their own during practice, and Truex's #19 Toyota had the best 10-lap average in practice. He should be able to contend for the win in this year's Crayon 301, but will Truex have the speed to beat his teammate, Bell, who is the defending winner of this race? Only time will tell.
