Marshawn Lynch is considered a 50% chance of playing in week four, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Marshawn Lynch carried the ball only five times before leaving last Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears in week three with an injured hamstring. Leading up to that game, Lynch was dealing with a calf injury, and now his status remains a question mark for the week four contest against the Detroit Lions. Lynch fantasy owners should quickly snatch up Thomas Rawls as a just in case scenario.
Who is Thomas Rawls you ask? Rawls is a rookie running back out of Central Michigan who surprisingly stepped into the lead running back position in place of Lynch in week three. Rawls racked up a solid 16 carries for 104 yards. Although Rawls did not score a touchdown, it is hard to ignore the efficiency (6.5 yards per carry) and the amount of carries he obtained. With Fred Jackson looking more and more like a third down back, it appears that Rawls may see a decent workload in the event that Lynch sits out in week four. Consider Rawls a RB flex option and safety net for Lynch owners.
