Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch missed Friday's practice and remains a game-time decision for Monday's game against the Detroit Lions. Lynch did not participate in practice at all this week due to his hamstring injury.
The injury of Lynch is near a worst-case scenario for fantasy football manaers looking to decide if they can start the star running back. Expect an "extreme case of the Mondays" as Lynch will be a game-time decision on Monday night after all the other games have been played. Unless Ameer Abdullah, starting back for the Lions, who the Seahawks are squaring off against, or one of the Seahawks backups are on your roster, you're likely stuck having to plan for a lineup without your first round draft pick.
Thomas Rawls and Fred Jackson will split the carries if Lynch sits out. Rawls had a tremendous game last week vs. the Chicago Bears with 104 rushing yards on 16 carries. There's a chance Lynch may be active, but it would likely be as a decoy. The smart bet is looking for another option this week as "Beast Mode" can easily turn into "Bench Mode."
