The degree to which this coverage was absolutely busted wide open cannot be overstated, though. Fluke plays happen, but when an offense consistently creates what seem to be fluke plays with players that previously were fighting for roster spots not too long ago, you can start to see a pattern.
The leading receiver on this offense seems to be very valuable to have, as fantasy managers who had WR Rashid Shaheed (knee) knew before he went down for the season.
It's crazy to think that we could see a 30-year old WR provide fantasy value down the stretch after never doing so at any point in his career, but Kubiak appears to be a genius, and quarterback Derek Carr has a pretty solid deep ball this season. MVS is worth a shot in deeper leagues for WR-needy teams.
