ANALYSIS: Any way you slice it, Manuel Margot's 2018 season has been a disappointment. With an ADP of 138 (36th among outfielders) this spring, fantasy owners were clearly betting on the promising form Margot had flashed in the second half of last year when he looked like a viable 20/20 candidate. Instead, Margot has just four home runs and is only 10-for-18 in stolen base attempts. Those poor numbers mask the fact that the 23-year-old has quietly turned his season around as the year has progressed. Since the start of June, Margot has hit .300/.358/.441, and he's 4-for-5 in steal attempts over the last month. He has also been recently moved back to the top of the Padres' order, which bodes well for his run production.
Margot is available in over 70% of Yahoo leagues right now. Owners looking for a boost in runs, batting average, or steals should consider adding him to their rosters.
