ANALYSIS: Manuel Margot is quietly having a solid rookie season, hitting .281/.321/.431 with eight home runs and 11 stolen bases. Part of the reason he's flown under the radar is that he missed about a month of action with a calf strain. Since returning from that injury on June 27, Margot has put up a .320/.352/.505 line, with four homers and six steals. The 22-year-old has been even hotter of late, with three of those four bombs coming in his last five games, and multiple hits in six of his last seven contests.
In addition to his recent surge at the plate, Margot appears to be making the necessary adjustments on the base paths. After starting the year just 5-for-10 on stolen base attempts, he's been thrown out just once in his last seven tries. There aren't many players who can give you speed without killing you in other categories, and Margot is free to add in nearly three-quarters of Yahoo leagues right now.
