BALLER MOVE: Buy MacKenzie Gore
ANALYSIS: Washington Nationals starting pitcher MacKenzie Gore has become a pleasant surprise for those who selected him later in their draft or grabbed him off the waiver wire.
The former number three overall section in the 2017 MLB Draft has posted a strong 3.19 ERA and 1.35 WHIP with 38 punchouts across 31 innings this season.
Gore has done very well limiting hard contact in the early part of the season, which has helped him post much stronger pitching ratios compared to his hefty 4.42 ERA last season.
The southpaw is sporting an above-average 85.9 mph average exit velocity and a 33.3% hard-hit rate. When looking at his numbers last season, Gore posted a much worse 89.9 average exit velocity and 43.7% hard-hit rate.
One reason Gore has begun to figure things out is that he has developed his curveball into one of if not his best pitch. Last season, his curveball generated a high .396 xSLG, but this season, it has a low .256 xSLG.

I suggest buying MacKenzie Gore, as he should continue to provide stable ratios and an average of over a strikeout per inning.
