Lynn Bowden Jr. (WR, MIA) - Week 15 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: Give a man a chance, and he'll provide. Someone said sometime, probably. Anyways, Lynn Bowden Jr. is the man of the story here these days. The Dolphins have lost a gazillion players to injury lately, and Bowden has been put on a much higher role down the pecking order in the past couple of weeks.

While he's worked the backfield a bit through the year (six carries year-long), Bowden's heaviest usage in Weeks 13 and 14 has come from a receiving position on the field, gathering 4 and 9 targets respectively which he's been able to turn into 41 and 82 yards. He caught all four in W13 and then finished 7-of-9 this past Sunday against Kansas City in which almost ended in an upset win for Miami.

When Bowden has played, and when he's been actually used, he's finished with 9.2 and 15.4 PPR points. Those numbers are not league-winning, sure, but they helped Bowden finish as a borderline WR3 two weeks ago and into the WR2 realm this past weekend.

Miami should keep Bowden on the starting lineup going forward as DeVante Parker, Mike Gesicki, and Jakeem Grant all had to leave Sunday's game earlier than it was finished with injuries. The Patriots are next on the schedule (they rank 6th-best against fantasy WRs), but the Raiders are Miami's W16 foe and with that game being Championship Week in most fantasy leagues you could find a very nice FLEX play in Bowden when the time comes in less than half a month.
