BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues

ANALYSIS: With Adam Wainwright on the disabled list with an elbow injury, Luke Weaver finds himself in the Cardinals' rotation. The 24-year-old right-hander was a first-round pick in the 2014 amateur draft and has had success at every level in the minor leagues. Weaver's first taste of the majors came last season, with mixed results. He flashed elite strikeout potential (27.0 K%) and didn't issue many walks, but allowed a ton of hard contact and home runs. As a result, he posted a 1-4 record and 5.70 ERA while averaging under 4.5 innings per start.
We're still dealing with a small sample, but Weaver has been much better this time around. In six games (three starts), he's maintained his K-BB% from 2016 and chopped both his line drine and home run rates in half. So far, it's added up to tidy ratios (2.31 ERA/1.07 WHIP). Assuming he remains in the rotation for the rest of the season, he'll enjoy a favorable schedule and is worth grabbing for the stretch run and/or playoffs.
