BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 11% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: San Diego Padres second base prospect Luis Urias is doing everything he can to earn a second call-up this season. At Triple-A El Paso this year, Urias is hitting .333/.424/.662 with 15 home runs, 36 RBI and 47 runs in 51 games. Urias earned his first shot in the majors in April, appearing in 11 games and hitting just 2-for-24. The Padres have been starting Ian Kinsler and Greg Garcia at second base since Urias’ demotion. Neither Kinsler or Garcia are exactly running away with the job as they both have an OPS under .700 and only 31 combined RBI across 348 combined at-bats.
Urias should be getting his second shot sooner rather than later one would think and he’s worth a speculative add in NL-only leagues and 14+ team leagues as he has the potential to be a difference maker at a weak second base position. Once he does indeed get that call, he’s worth adding in more shallow leagues as well.
