LPL/LCK DFS Picks (6/24/21) - DraftKings and FanDuel League of Legends Daily Fantasy

expert League of Legends (LoL) DFS advice and DraftKings/FanDuel lineup picks for LPL & LCK on 6/24/21. His top LoL value plays and esports DFS recommendations.

Welcome back esports fanatics, to another LOL breakdown article featuring Four matchups tomorrow from the LPL and LCK. My name is Nathan and I'll be filling in for the article today so lets get down to business! Let's see what our best routes to victory are for this 4 game slate locking at 4:00 A.M. EST.

Roster changes will be addressed if need be when mentioning each team.  As a friendly reminder, if you can't stomach any sub risk or don't enjoy waking up mid-REM sleep, then figure a way to roster players that don't hold any sub risk. The LCK is tricky when it comes to starting lineups, and we are usually given the LCK starting lineups about an hour or so before lock, for the first series (@KorizonEsports on Twitter is a good lineup source, as well as @kenzi131). We are going to try and project starters based on who has recently been starting. LPL starters are found earlier and on Twitter too just give a quick search for "LPL Lineups" on Twitter and it'll pop right up!

I'll provide my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LPL & LCK slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 4:00 AM on Thursday, June 24th, 2021. If you have any questions about the slate or anything please reach out to me on Twitter @NvanhareDFS. I'll do my best to provide some useful analysis. The odds listed are from Pinnacle. Let's jump right into the matchups!

LCK Matches

4:00 AM: LSB (+335) vs. Gen.G (-444)

This is the first matchup of the day so lineups should be out. Gen.G is regarded as one of the top teams in the LCK yet they show so much weakness all the time. They're a team that opens themselves up to exploitation often and are punished by teams that pay close attention. Don't get me wrong, Gen.G is definitely more likely to win this matchup, but with the current meta and game style, it only takes one team fight to put a champ like Gwen way ahead and just snowball the game from there. LSB is a team that is worth a look at if you're running more than a few entries. Croco and Fate have been performing well and for a team like Sandbox to show up and perform this split, which really says a lot about the talent they have. If I'm stacking Sandbox I'm looking to avoid Summit, that guy really has a tough time putting up DFS-worthy numbers. If I'm stacking Gen.G I look to avoid Life. Life is a similar player to BeryL in that they play a lot of defense and damage absorption rather than support in team fights.

Top LSB Plays: Croco, Fate

Top Gen.G Plays: All, in order: Clid, Bdd, Ruler, Rascal

7:00 AM: NS (+226) vs. T1 (-286)

For the second LCK series, we won't have starting lineups before lock. Both teams SHOULD be rolling with the same starters from their last matches. Ask me about this matchup at the end of last split and I don't spend any time contemplating the use of NS. However, since they've begun to use Gori at MID, they've shown much progress in their development. On a slate with SN being the smallest dog besides NS, I do perceive them drawing some ownership especially with their recent track record of wins. Because of them likely being a relatively popular dog, relative to this slate, getting to them in GPPs is a bit tougher.

T1, ever since they've been fielding their normal lineup, has been playing out of their minds with very few poor games. This team works well together, has talent, and likes to get into team fights contrary to most of the LCK. LCK teams also generally see less ownership than LPL as well as they are not one of the two biggest favorites on the slate. All signs point to a lower owned than normal T1 in a decent spot. Getting them in stacks more than the field is going to be a priority for me.

Top NS plays: Gori

Top T1 Plays: all, in order: Teddy, Cuzz, Canna, Faker, Keria

LPL Matches

5:00 AM: SN (+209) vs. EDG (-263)

The odds here are way closer than I believe they should be. I expected to see EDG -300s ish on this matchup. ON is a big downside to SN's roster currently and I think they'd hugely benefit from signing a new support. Until they do, I find it hard to get behind them when they play any half-decent team.

EDG is also a very talented team, although having a rough start to the summer split. This game will be enjoyable to watch but I'm not sure how often I look to utilize stacks of it. If you're running many lineups I'd consider using some SN but overall I'm not even sure if I get there myself.

Top EDG Plays: Viper, JieJie

Top SN Plays: huanfeng, bin

7:00 AM: RW (+1098) vs. RNG (-1902)

There really isn't a ton to say on this matchup. RNG is one of the top teams in the league while RW has consistently been the worst in the past two splits. There's really no reason to roster RW ever on this slate. They love to fight, but they're terrible at it. They brought back ZWuJi but got rid of one of their better players, Haro. Nothing for this team goes right, nearly ever.

RNG's upside in this matchup is probably the highest on the slate. RW will continue to try and fight even when they're down 10k gold and down 15-0 on kills. Look to take advantage of this team and just eat the chalk here.

Top RNG plays: Everyone

Summary

  1. TLDR: LSB is better than anyone really thinks, they have a shot.
  2. T1 is way too good right now and has high ceilings, roster them.
  3. SN is bad right now and a lot is due to their Bot of a support player ON.
  4. RW stacks against themselves in DFS, don't use them.

That's it, for now, Summoners, good luck tomorrow!
