Welcome back everyone to the greatest DFS game out there! While the LPL has already started their season, LCK is starting tonight and that brings us our first 4 game slate!
Roster changes will be addressed if need be when mentioning each team. As a friendly reminder, if you can't stomach any sub risk or don't enjoy waking up mid-REM sleep, then figure a way to roster players that don't hold any sub risk. The LCK is tricky when it comes to starting lineups, and we are usually given the LCK starting lineups about an hour or so before lock, for the first series. (@KorizonEsports on Twitter is a good lineup source, as well as @kenzi131) We are going to try and project starters based on who has recently been starting. LPL starters are found earlier and on Twitter too.
I'll provide my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LPL & LCK slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 4:00 AM on Wednesday, June 14th, 2022. If you have any questions about the slate or anything please reach out to me on Twitter @nvanhareDFS. I'll do my best to provide some useful analysis. The odds listed are from Pinnacle. Let's jump right into the matchups

4:00 AM: KDF (-433) vs. HLE (+324)
Tonight brings us the first night of the LCK summer split. Luckily for us, the majority of the teams tonight have only a few pivot points when it comes to their starting roster. KDF are, in my opinion, a clearly better team when it comes to their roster. HLE hasnt changed from last split and they are bound to struggle here as well. This is the first night of the slate however, so I don't mind taking shots anywhere on underdogs. I would target KDF as an option in smaller field as well as cash type contests while taking some shots on HLE in larger field tourneys. End of the day here, I have an HLE bias and like the shot on them.
Top KDF plays: Fate, Teddy
Top HLE plays: SamD, Vsta
7:00 AM: DRX (-160) vs. NS (+131)
This is the more "exciting" game of the LCK set tonight, although it does feel wrong to call any game exciting in the Korean League. I will say however, that this meta currently feels like it may suit the LCK style and create a smaller gap between the LPL and LCK than previously this year. I think as underdogs come, this poses an interesting problem in tournaments. People tend to gravitate towards a singular underdog on slates and Nongshim seems to be the spot for that tonight. They do have the best chance of the underdogs to win, but I don't know if they'll be worth it given their increased ownership. I would, contrary to what Is most probabilistic, stay away from NS as your underdog and take shots on the longshots. DRX seems like the better play here for me.
Top DRX Plays: Deft, Pyosik, Zeka
Top NS Plays: Bdd, Dread, Canna

4:45 AM: LNG (-430) vs. AL (+323)
There isn't a ton to say here. LNG is a very very good team this year. AL, not so much. While I used to be a huge fan of AL, in a slower game meta as we have currently, AL does not feel as great as they used to when constructing lineups. LNG is a perfect spot for cash lineups as well as GPPs with a good mix of floor and ceiling. As said before, it's the first day of the split and the odds for AL aren't 0%, I still don't mind using them in larger field GPPs at their majorly suppressed ownership. I would take shots on AL, but LNG seems to be my "favorite" favorite today.
Top LNG Plays: All of them, Doinb
Top AL Plays: Bety, Xiaohao
7:00 AM: V5 (-399) vs. TT (+303)
V5 is everyone's favorite upside team of the spring split. I think that love carries over to today, even with their prices being quite high. They likely have the highest upside on the slate due to their up tempo style. One thing of note for tonight, they are not starting Rookie as normal. This creates an interesting spot with their backup MID, as it is unclear whether or not we should be worried about him getting subbed out mid series. I think it's safe to assume that unless V5 lose game one, the sub stays in. Again, TT is a big underdog today but everyone is in play on this 4 game slate. It's the first game of the split and who knows what teams have been doing during the break between the two splits. I like TT a lot as a play here tonight as V5 is most likely going to be the mega chalk team. TT has a decent team of individuals and it will be interesting to see if they can make anything work this season
Top V5 Plays: Photic, Karsa
Top TT Plays: Beichuan, Ucal
Summary
- TLDR: It's still early in the split, everyone is in play. NS is likely your highest owned underdog and as a result, taking shots on all of the other underdogs feels like a better play.
- GPP Stacks: Taking shots on the 3 big underdogs seems to be the best course of action today, not necessarily pairing them together, but using in fave+dog stacks/lineups. I like TT a lot due to their near 0% ownership likelihood.
- Cash Stacks: LNG, V5, KDF all seem to be very good cash stacks.
Good luck tomorrow RotoBallers!
