Two game slates return for a few days, and this one is going to be pretty chalky. I am going to try to have some fun with it anyway and keep #teamonedaysoff rolling.
I'll provide my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LPL slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 5:00 AM on Monday, July 6th, 2020. Make sure you follow me on Twitter @Mr_Malmanger as I often post starting lineups when I see them and other useful info for the slate.

5:00 AM: Team World Elite (-700) vs. Dominus
When we last saw Team WE, they were still doing what they do, whether up 5k gold or behind 5k gold they were out there forcing fights. JDG was able to weather the storm in games two and three and put on a fantasy show with WE trying to fight them repeatedly from behind. DMO has shown some life recently upending EDG. The Invictus series, as usual, was more about IG doing what they do. I think a lot of times, I look at these matchups and form that initial impression, but then when I look closer, I can find some angle I didn't consider before.
So looking closer, I'll try to make a case for the DMO side. Xiaopeng has always been a threat to carry throughout his career on DMO; it's just been a question of his supporting cast, which is suddenly a fascinating question with Mark, Gala, and Xiye all excelling on other teams. If DMO is to win this, they will need to get on top of WE early. The teams are close in their early game stats, and as we have seen, WE are not nearly as good from behind. If Xiaopeng can match Beishang early, and WE botch some early ganks, I think a couple of DMO lineups could be worth a shot.
WE have shown consistently that their strength as a team is their coordination, map presence, and team fighting. As such, I think that they don't allow DMO to stay close and instead are launching those team fights around objectives from ahead, or even and as such will be able to win this one easily, I'll save the surprises for the next match.
Top WE Plays:
- Beishang - JNG
- Juimeng - ADC
- Missing - SUP
- Teacherma - MID (if pairing with JDG)
- Morgan - TOP (if pairing with EDG)

7:00 AM: Jingdong Gaming (-325) vs. Edward Gaming
Surprise you say, well here it is EDG beat JDG in the spring, and both times they faced each other in 2019, and I think they are likely too again. We saw them reintegrate Hope to the lineup seamlessly versus RW, and now that they have had a lovely warm-up match, they are ready to shock the world and knock off the reigning champs. Even if you don't believe me on this one, I think it's worth a shot on a two-game slate to try to gain a little edge. JDG seems to be back on a roll after taking down IG, but they always beat IG. I think this is a bit of a sandwich spot for JDG.
EDG has been struggling, and JDG is coming off a big win and will have another match on Thursday versus LGD, a perceived top team. EDG has better early game numbers with superior first blood, first turret, and rift herald rates. JDG has the better overall drake numbers, and baron numbers, but EDG do have a slight vision advantage. If EDG can get up early and hold that lead, we could see the upset. EDG has a rivalry game of their own on the horizon as they face RNG next Sunday. JDG is the reigning champs, the favorites, and overall the better team. Even if you're not joining me on the upset call, I think its more than reasonable to play both sides on Monday AM.
Top EDG Plays: (Lineups not confirmed yet)
- Scout - MID
- Jiejie - JNG
- Hope - ADC
- Meiko - SUP
Top JDG Plays:
- Kanavi - JNG
- Zoom - TOP
- Loken - ADC
- LvMao - SUP
Summary
- The WE/DMO game will be the better one to target for full stacks on Monday, but as we have seen, it's always a good idea to mix it up. Especially on these two gamers, it's hard to get unique. Building sub-optimally with your captain from your small stack, for instance, or taking a shot with a big stack from the slower game, can be two ways to be different while staying the same.
- I like the upset in game two, but I actually won't count it out in the first game. I usually make 3-5 lineups of my own, so I might only end up with one DMO stack. I'd probably split the first game 90/10 and the second game 60/40 for mme type of stacks. Two DMO lineups of 20 seems like exactly the right amount to cover yourself.
