IG put the entire League of Legends world on BLAST with the upset over TES, and they couldn't even net me a takedown, sad! SBG/JDG with IG team was the nuts sometimes, and the safest option is the best.
On to tomorrow, when we're back on two-game LPL slates till Wednesday when the LCK resumes and our patience will be rewarded with a five-game slate on Saturday and Sunday with three games from the LPL on each. Hopefully DK and FD can put something together for us overnight gamers on these big slates.
Let's move on to tomorrow morning's slate, now. 'll provide my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LPL slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 5:00 AM on Monday, July 27th, 2020. Make sure you follow me on Twitter @Mr_Malmanger as I often post starting lineups when I see them and other useful info for the slate.
5:00 AM: OMG vs. Suning (-345)
It's funny in our group chat; we all give Kal a hard time about his undying love of OMG, but I'm starting to think its secretly me who keeps talking him into it. Some best friend I am, LOL. In a "totally" unrelated note, OMG did beat SNG in a clean 2-0 in spring. We could see SNG come in with a big case of the Mondays here, and they are flying high after a big win over V5 not so long ago on Friday with TES coming up on Thursday. Plus, I mean, come on, it's a two-game slate with a couple decent favorites let’s live a little.
I waited until the lineups were released before hitting send on the article today, and was subsequently rewarded with OMG not starting SMLZ. The ADC for their LDL squad named Eric will be starting, and maybe this is the shakeup they need to get going.
Back in the real world, we're looking at fourth vs. fourteenth in the league, and SNG has a lead in every stat category minus the first blood. OMG is baaaad on the blue side, but they have side selection. The problem is that SNG is 13-4 on blue, so it won't do OMG any good to try and counter pick. I'll play some OMG just because of the Monday curse and the sandwich spot in the SNG schedule (coming off a big win over a team above them in the standings and facing another top team in their next match). Although I fully expect SNG to win this match in a likely 2-1.
Top SNG Plays:
- SofM - JNG
- Bin - TOP
- Swordart - SUP
- Angel - MID

7:00 AM: Dominus vs. Vici Gaming (-385)
At least in the first set, I was able to theory craft an avenue for OMG to pull the big upset. Here's the be-all and end-all of the theory in this one. DMO has won only one series, and six games all split. That series was on a Monday as one of their other four game wins. That's all I got.
Vici does have LGD on Friday, and while they are a team ahead of VG in the standings, I don't think they bring the same schedule altering gravitas that the likes of Top Esports do. VG has one of the best first turret rates in the league, and that is due directly to their focus on rift herald where they fall fifth in the league. I don't see the DMO being able to overcome what should be a substantial early deficit from VG's superior laning prowess, and their focus on early turrets with the rift herald. So unsurprisingly, I'll take the other favorite to win in a probable sweep.
Top VG Plays:
- Zeka - MID
- Iboy - ADC
- Aix - JNG (possible sub)
- Cube - TOP
Summary
- TLDR - Both favorites win, but there are some reasons why OMG could pick up the upset if you're feeling froggy. OMG (if they win), SNG, and VG are all within a half a kill from each other in the projections right now so alot of this slate will come down to the KP numbers and how these teams match up.
- I can't spell Monday without DMO, I mean it is statistically their best day of the week and have the highest kill projection if they win. They will also be BY FAR the lowest owned; unfortunately, they are terrible.
- Today is one of those slates where our premium tools can come in so handy with the cheat sheet, research station, and optimizer to help you select the best plays by presenting you with all the info you'll need to succeed. Shameless plug I know, but its nice to have all that info right there at your fingertips on one screen all at once.
