Sunday morning was full of surprises with a crazy back and forth series between RW/JDG. T1 dominated game one, even styling on SBG like they were in the LPL. VG with perfect timing as soon as I turn my back on them get the win, but don't score for anything. It is what it is as they say, and we're on to the next one.
We lose the LCK for a few days again, giving us two-game slates and little margin for error. Tread lightly on these slates as we have to work extra hard to find an angle and some leverage.
I'll provide my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LPL slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 5:00 AM on Monday, June 29rd, 2020. Make sure you follow me on Twitter @Mr_Malmanger as I often post starting lineups when I see them and other useful info for the slate.

5:00 AM: Dominus vs. Edward Gaming (-750)
As we all remember, I'm contractually obligated never to recommend DMO ever again and I'm nothing if not a man of my word. EDG will still be without Hope their starting ADC for this match, but I doubt it will matter. DMO has not looked even competitive in their matches with Xubin and Chelizi, no better than they had with Natural and Helper. We saw them take a game off of SNG their last time out, but that took SNG throwing a bot lane dive early to give over four early kills to the side of DMO. EDG looked competitive vs. TES even without their starting ADC. They played more through the top side of their map and were able to contest TES at all turns. I think we see more of that focus through the mid and top from EDG and pick up a 2-1 victory over the side of DMO.
Top EDG Plays:
- Scout - MID
- JieJie - JNG
- Aodi - TOP
- EDG Team

7:00 AM: Fun Plus Phoenix (-280) vs. Victory 5
V5, due to their surprising start to this split, seems to have quite a few advantages into this matchup with FPX. They have a better first turret rating, larger gold differential at 15 minutes, better dragon, and better baron numbers than do FPX. FunPlus has better vision and better first blood percentage.
V5 has played surprisingly well this split, and I think this is a make or break spot for them. FPX just took down an Estar team that is similar to this V5 squad, but they still looked shaky doing it. There have been too many instances of FPX pushing up without vision and getting caught out around the map for my liking. They were able to turn a few of those spots in their favor during the Estar series, but you can see where the whole series turned on just a few fights.
FPX has taken a step back from their world championship form, and V5 has seemed like the more together team. I think we see an upset here with V5 taking a 2-1 win, but it is reasonable to split our exposure for DFS on Monday morning. You would expect to see this line be closer to -500 for the reigning world champs, but I think Vegas sees the holes in FPX game this year. The upside for V5 here is massive, with FPX surrendering 20 plus deaths in their losses. Even in a 2-1 FPX win, you could see V5 members in the winning lineup.
Top V5 Plays:
- SamD - ADC
- PPGod - SUP
- Weiwei - JNG
- Mole - MID
Top FPX Plays:
- Doinb - MID
- Tian - JNG
- Lwx - ADC
- Crisp - SUP
Summary
- It’s difficult to pick a team with Mole in the MID over the likes of Doinb, but I think V5 pulls it out. Though a 2-1 is likely in that set either way. We could see a one-off from the losing side crack the winning lineups.
- We all know I don't like game stacks, but If you wanted to try one, I think today could be a day to trot it out with only the two games its conceivable the FPX/V5 series goes OFF.
