LPL's summer split is in full swing, and it has been quite an eventful one already. We've only two days left until the LCK joins us in the early morn. These two-game slates have been difficult so far, but I remain determined to nail these slates for our readers and study these squads as we've had a few surprises already this split.
Invictus returned to the winner circle for the first time since spring split, which feels so good. Rookie is a god among men, and he needs to be as the rest of the team is still struggling. TES, on the other hand, might never lose again. JDG had game two won, until Yeezi (the official unofficial name for the Ezreal Yuumi pairing) reared its ugly head. We don't have quite the high profile matches today, but there is still a lot of money to be made on FD and DK.
Today, I'll be providing my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LPL slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 5:00 AM on Monday, June 15th, 2020. Make sure you are following me on Twitter @Mr_Malmanger as I often post starting lineups when I see them and other useful info for the slate.

5:00 AM: BLG vs. eStar (-300)
Thinking back to LPL Spring, I remember a time when eStar seemed unbeatable, and I couldn't wait to find a team that could stop them. My neverending Meteor love brought me to BLG, and I pinned all my hopes on them. They responded with a stellar game one, and then crushed me by giving up the reverse sweep.
Now it is summer, and eStar again are looking good. Unfortunately for me, BLG has benched my Galatic assassin and chosen yet again to start 13est16. My summer split mantra for BLG is "No Meteor = No Love" and I won't be giving up on that today. Estar plays a very aggressive and proactive game style similar to WE and FPX. They prioritize their bottom lane heavily, and had the highest dragon percentage in the spring split to show for it. FenFen has picked up right where Cryin left off for this squad elevating his play to match that of the rest of the team. Estar won in the spring 2-1; they seem to be at or just slightly below their spring level, while BLG without Meteor has looked sluggish.
With the sweep definitely in play, I won't have much if any BLG on Monday morning. I'll be awake all morning waiting for Meteor to sub in after the game one loss and lead BLG to a reverse sweep crying all the while as my lineups crash and burn, but flaming BLG on line because "I TOLD YOU SO!"
Top eStar Plays:
- FenFen - MID
- Wei - JNG
- Wink - ADC
- Shiauc - SUP

7:00 AM: Vici vs. World Elite (-170)
When we last saw both of these teams, they posted very different results with WE sweeping IG and VG going 0-2 vs. RNG, which face of these teams shows up on Monday morning? With the recent string of upsets plaguing the lol esports landscape, honestly, who knows. Well, I think I do so hear me out.
Team We's jungler, and everyone's favorite fantasy option Beishang has not be quite as sharp in the summer split. Teacherma has struggled a bit too, especially with Syndra being so strong against his champion pool and playstyle. Vici's coach Kkoma should be able to exploit Teacherma in the draft, and it will be up to Forge/Aix to carry that on to the rift. Vici is not known as an early game team, but they have been focusing the rift herald more this split. TES and Vici lead the league at 75% herald percentage in summer, and this focus on the herald has pulled their attention out of the bot lane and more toward mid. Coincidentally where I think they have their most significant advantage along with the top lane. Cube has the second-best KP% in the league in the short summer split, and he is second among all top laners in damage percentage for his team. So as you might have guessed, I like Vici in this matchup as their strongest lanes and focus correlate with WE's weakest.
On the other hand, WE's bot duo is one of their biggest strengths, and I think we could see that be the turning point for them. If Teacherma and Beishang can get loose from the mid lane and meet in the bot lane like they want, we can see Juimeng and Missing pop off. Juimeng is actually second in the league in the percentage of gold that his team allocates to him; he is fifth in kill shares and third in kill participation, meaning they are getting what they paid for. This is no surprise as Teacherma plays a very supportive roll on the team. I like Vici to pick up the upset win here, but I think WE is always viable. This should be the slower match of the two, but we have seen what happens when WE are trying to force from behind.
Top VG Plays:
- Forge - MID
- Aix - JNG
- Cube - Top
- VG Team
Top WE Plays:
- Beishang - JNG
- Juimeng - ADC
- Missing - SUP
- WE Team
Summary
- The first game set should be the most attractive option for fantasy plays. I like my full stack to come from that series while targeting small stacks and team slots from the other, but as I've talked about reversing, that can make a great GPP way to still have a chalky combo with a twist. Or taking your captain from your short stack similarly can get you reduced ownership and a unique lineup.
- On FD I think you can build some pretty attractive lineups with both favorites using Cube in the top lane.
- Yesterday disappointed a little after the big TES JDG hype faded away in a TES sweep. Let's get back after it today. Cash games I think you stack the favorites, and stick with a tried and true let everyone else make mistakes approach. Gpp you can embrace the wildness of this summer split, and I'll take Vici as my upset special.
