LPL's summer split is in full swing, and we've got a week yet until the LCK joins us in the early morn. Yesterday was a stunner with FPX going down to LNG but we're ready to bounce back today and get back on our grind. Summer Season is here, and there are some massive contests posted in the FanDuel and DraftKings lobbies, including the 15-dollar Shock Blast that pays 25k to first place!
Today, I'll be providing my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LPL slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 5:00 AM on Wednesday, June 10th, 2020. Make sure you are following me on Twitter @Mr_Malmanger as I often post starting lineups when I see them and other useful info for the slate.

5:00 AM: Vici Gaming vs. Royal Never Give Up (-150)
We're off; Vici took down this RNG side in the spring split with a 2-0 victory in week three, but that's a long time ago. RNG finished seventh in the spring split with an 8-8 record, but a game score of 20-18. Vici just missed the playoffs finishing ninth at 7-9 with a game score of 21-22.
These are two closely matched teams, and the spring split stats tell us that too. Vici is the better team at dragons and damage output, while RNG is the better vision, baron, and farming team. The most significant advantage here is going to be in terms of coaching, philosophy, and continuity.
Vici have advantages in all three of those areas, but I think that RNG is the more talented squad up and down the roster. It should be close as all these factors indicate, but I like Vici to repeat their spring split result and grab a win here.
This set should be the slower of the two matchups, and I will look for this to be my smaller stacks and team slot. Even though I like Vici here, this is an excellent spot to split exposure and cover your bases a bit in case we see something like the first match from RNG, where XLB pops off again.
Top VG Plays:
- Cube - TOP
- Forge - MID
- iBoy - ADC
- Hang - SUP
- VG Team Slot
Top RNG Plays:
- Betty - ADC
- Ming - SUP
- XLB - JNG
- RNG Team Slot

7:00 AM: Suining vs. Jingdong Gaming (-475)
Well, I made it this far without crying over spilled milk about the FPX upset by LNG yesterday. After watching that debacle, I had a hard time starting on today's research, and I'm sure there are plenty of you who are also not overly excited to dig into today.
It's done, and over, it is what it is, take 'em one day at a time, or insert any of your other favorite sports cliches. On to the next upset, or so it seems. Maybe we're seeing some hangover from the Mid Season Cup with TES having struggled some in their match with RW, and FPX doing what they did.
These teams have played the entire playoffs in addition to the cup, so it's entirely possible they are a bit fatigued. I don't think that will be the case tonight, and I'll be looking for JDG to set the record straight with these upsets and struggles from the top tier teams.
SNG is 2-0, but we know their win over LNG had more to do with the passivity that LNG displayed in that match, and the win over WE I think too was more attributable to WE botching some moves early and being a very linear team themselves.
Suning is mid-tier, and JDG is top tier; its that simple. This set looks like it will be the better fantasy matchup, and I'll look to grab my full stacks from this matchup. Of course, SNG is still in play as this morning's version of LNG, but I think I'll avoid except for a few deep hedge stacks.
Top JDG Plays:
- Kanavi - JNG
- Loken - ADC
- LvMao - SUP
- Yagao - MID
Summary
- With the two-game slates, we're always talking about roster construction down here, and today is no different. Today will be a good day to mix up your captain slots for GPPs; depending on your build, having Kanavi captain when you could afford Loken, or Yagao for instance, can be a great way to get different.
- Leaving some salary on the table like that is a great move, especially when you've got a carry jungler like Kanavi on the slate. You can also get differential by taking your captain from the short stack in your roster instead of being a part of the four-man.
- FD pricing is odd again, with JDG being the third lowest-priced despite being the biggest favorite. SNG stacks will get you even more leverage over there where JDG is so easy to build around.
- The lines again on both sides are moving toward the favorites, and I don't know if people are overreacting to the upset yesterday or generally just favoring dogs early. We'll be watching these closely as lock nears.
