Welcome back, Rotoballers, to my League of Legends DFS column here at RotoBaller! We will continue to extend our analysis for LoL DFS across different leagues and sites, bringing you the insight you need to succeed. Thanks once again for the outpouring of support from the DFS and ESports communities. I can't thank you enough for the kind words on Twitter and your support has afforded me the opportunity to write about something I love every day.
With three more games on the docket tonight in the LPL, and the LCS and LEC playoffs in full swing, it's an excellent time for ESports DFS enthusiasts like myself. The number of contests on FanDuel and DraftKings continues to grow. Spring regular season is coming to a close, and there are already some massive contests posted in the FanDuel and DraftKings lobbies, including the 10-dollar Titan's Fury that pays 50k to first place!
Today, I'll be providing my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LPL slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 3:00 AM on Friday, April 17th, 2020. Make sure you are following me on Twitter @Mr_Malmanger as I often post starting lineups when I see them and other useful info for the slate.

3:00 AM: LNG vs. Team WE (-385)
This spot is a lay-up for WE. Looking to rebound after a narrow loss to IG, this young WE squad couldn't handpick a better opponent than the slow-paced indecisive side of LNG. World Elite has statistical advantages across the board, but their vision stats and baron takes are surprisingly only small leads.
The difference is that WE need the win to keep their playoff hopes alive, and LNG is experimenting with stuff trying to get things together for the summer split. WE have the motivation and talent to sweep here, and I fully expect them to do so.
Teacherma - MID ($7,800 DraftKings)
Maple has been a disappointment since entering the LPL with high hopes, Teacherma has been a delightful surprise since joining the big team. He reminds me of Doinb a lot. He has the quirky champion pool (Aurelion Soul I mean come on!) and the team-first mentality that has made Doinb a world champ. Along with my main squeeze, Beishang - JNG ($7,600), Teacherma roams far and wide, setting the team up for success.
Juimeng - ADC ($8,200 DraftKings)
Just as I called Teacherma a delight to watch in his first split, Juimeng himself has been a standout in the bot lane. He leads this team in KP% and kill-share along with his partner in crime Missing - SUP ($6,000) -Juimeng makes another vital part of your WE stacks on Friday morning.
5:00 AM: JGD (-500) vs. DMO
We've got another open and shut case here for the Friday slate featuring another playoff contender vying for seeding vs. a team already eliminated. DMO has been more aggressive since coach Ye took over at the end of March, but I don't see them taking out JDG, who has become a trendy pick to win the league.
JDG has the advantage in every significant stat here and the motivation to succeed. They might be a fade for me, though on Friday, because they are so far above the likes of DMO that they may not pay off their prices.
DMO has averaged 16.5 deaths per loss couple that with JDG's efficiency around objectives, and both games of this series sweep could go down quickly.
Kanavi - JNG ($7,200 DK)
This pick is a gimme, Kanavi leads his team in kill-share as a jungler. That's some hard carry potential you don't usually see from the position. He also leads the team in KP%, so you have got your bases covered there as well. I expect these games to go quickly, so I would prioritize Kanavi over any other JDG plays and don't mind using him as a one-off due to his ability to score early and often not needing to scale like an ADC.

7:00 AM EDG vs. IG (-200)
What do I always say about IG, their stats don't matter. Not in the way other teams do, as they seemingly collect objectives by accident. EDG, however, is a solid team, and they lead IG in everything objective related except for baron take %.
I'm not going to destroy my brain, trying to wrap my head around who wins this game. I'm cutting to the heart of the matter. I won't play IG on Friday morning, and neither should you. They likely win here, but they also likely go three games due to their utter disrespect of their opponents.
We've seen it many times this year IG win game one, play around game two, then hit the gas in game three. WE, RW, LGD, and RNG have all had players outscore their IG counterparts. I see no reason why EDG shouldn't be the same.
JieJie - JNG ($6,600)
Jiejie will be a great place to start for IG he has come back to the team post quarantine like he never left, and leads them in KP%. Leyan is steady for IG but is still second on the team in death percentage.
Jinoo - TOP ($5,600)
One sure way to try to beat IG is to camp top and try to set theshy behind. This strategy doesn't always work as he can outplay any scenario, but it often does enough for fantasy purposes. Jinoo's KP% is low even for a top-laner, but I assure you theshy will die enough to make it worth your while here to save some bucks on a short slate.
Summary
- Targeting WE is my favorite spot on the entire slate. Their 21.1 kills per win and LNG's 17.5 deaths per loss gives them an incredible ceiling.
- I might skip JDG in GPPs as they average only 17 kills in win and DMO averages 16.6 deaths in a loss.
- IG dies 22 times in losses and they simply screw around too much makes. It makes EDG viable even in a loss.
- EDG\WE is my favorite GPP combo while WE\JDG should be a great cash build.
