ANALYSIS: The Los Angeles Chargers defense will face one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL in the Buffalo Bills in Week 16. The Bills have scored the seventh most points this year and average 27.1 points per game. Buffalo's offensive line has also allowed the fewest sacks this year, as Josh Allen has only been taken down 19 times in 2023.
Even with the Chargers having some stars on the defensive side in Khalil Mack and Derwin James Jr., they should not be started against the Bills in fantasy this weekend. Opposing fantasy defenses average just 4.4 fantasy points per game against Allen and company, which ranks 30th in the league. Los Angeles' defense has also struggled to find a rhythm in recent weeks. They have scored four fantasy points or fewer in five of the past six games, which has included two negative point fantasy days for this defense.
It's extremely risky to start the Los Angeles Chargers D/ST in fantasy on Saturday. They have an extremely low floor and ceiling in Week 16, and there are likely better defensive fantasy options on your waiver wire right now.
