ANALYSIS: Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas had low expectations entering the year. Thomas had been a top-end fantasy football tight end in the past. Unfortunately, injuries have impacted his play over the past few seasons. However, he has been productive in 2023.
Thomas is the TE12, averaging 7.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The veteran tight end has 38 receptions on 50 targets for 351 receiving yards and three touchdowns this year. Furthermore, the former Virginia Tech star has become a go-to target for Sam Howell, especially around the goal line.
Unfortunately, the veteran tight end has struggled lately. Over the past five weeks, he has scored more than 7.2 fantasy points once. Furthermore, Thomas has 10 targets over the past two weeks but only scored 11.6 fantasy points.
Fantasy players shouldn’t expect the veteran to break out of his recent slump in Week 11. The New York Giants have held tight ends to seven fantasy points per game this season, the seventh-fewest in the NFL. They have given up only two receiving touchdowns to tight ends this year. Depending on your league size, Thomas is a low-end TE1/high-end TE2.
