LeBron and Bronny James Hit the Floor Together
In the second quarter of the Lakers' 110-103 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, first-time Lakers head coach JJ Redick sent LeBron James alongside his son, Bronny, onto the court together. It was a moment greeted by an enormous roar from the crowd inside Crypto.com Arena.

As historic as that moment was, Bronny only played three minutes throughout the game and went scoreless -- missing his two field-goal attempts. He did grab one rebound to his name.
LeBron Sr. finished with 16 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two blocks in 35 minutes. And he broke the late Kobe Bryant's record for most missed field-goal attempts. The new record to beat now is 14,482 missed shots and counting.
Anthony Davis's Big Night Carries the Lakers to Win
As historic as it was to see a father-and-son duo hit the floor for the first time in the modern NBA, the night belonged to Anthony Davis. AD finished with 36 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks in 38 minutes. He shot 13-of-15 from the free-throw line.

Rui Hachimura added 18 rebounds and five rebounds, while Austin Reaves added 12 points.
The Lakers won despite shooting 5-of-30 from the three-point line -- that's 16.7% shooting. Reaves missed all of his five attempts from rainbow country, while D'Angelo Russell only made one of his seven attempts.
The win was the first for the Lakers on opening night since 2016.
