Hey everyone, good morning/afternoon, and welcome to RotoBaller's coverage of League of Legends DFS for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Be on the lookout for coverage of the LPL, LCK, and LEC as well as we have some great analysts covering all LoL leagues for the Summer Split. Today, I'll be focusing on the 5-game LCS slate starting at 6 P.M. EST.
My name is Nathan Van Hare and I'll be covering LCS content for the summer split here on RotoBaller! I'm new to RotoBaller but I'm not new to the esports DFS area. I've been playing all the esports DFS I can get my hands ever since April of 2020 and hardly missed a day. As someone who didn't know much about esports 2 years ago, It has really surprised me to see how passionate and dedicated I've become about something I knew next to nothing about just two years ago.
Today I'll be bringing you my League of Legends advice and analysis for the five-game LCS slate that locks on Friday, June 25th, at 6:00 PM. Thanks for reading, you can find me on Twitter @nvanhareDFS for more DFS related content!

LCS Matchups
- Cloud9 (-554) vs. Golden Guardians (+406)
- Liquid (-170) vs. Evil Geniuses (+139)
- Dignitas (+256) vs. 100 Thieves (-328)
- TSM (-282) vs. FlyQuest (+223)
- CounterLogic Gaming (-106) vs. Immortals (-11)
C9 vs. GG
Golden Guardians are the LCS' Rogue Warriors. Whenever a team goes against them on the slate, they make for a great play in all formats, cash, and GPP. It's even sweeter when the team they're playing against is Cloud9. K1ng has been replaced and sent back to academy, the true King, Zven, is back in the LCS and ready to dominate. C9 have really struggled with the addition of K1ng and hopefully Zven can put them back on track in the league. Zven and the rest of C9 have splits of experience together and dominated during that time, K1ng was the odd man out for chemistry purposes.
C9 is the largest favorite on the slate and the game has the 2nd highest kill total according to books on the slate. C9 is a must play in cash formats and pairing C9 with the underdogs from other games is going to be a good strategy in GPPS.
Top C9 Plays: Zven, Blaber, Perkz
Liquid vs. Evil Geniuses
There was a ton of drama in the Liquid offices this week. Their Head Coach "resigned" but in reality was forced out and they now have an interim coach for now. In addition, Jenkins is going to stay in the LCS for at least another week and reevaluated afterward but it seems like the staff is happy with his performance. Lastly, Santorin is taking some personal time off and Armao will be stepping in for the foreseeable future. Lots of updates with the roster and It really only makes me like them more.
Evil Geniuses has had a good start to the split but I'm still not a believer in them. Jenkins has stepped up for Liquid at TOP and now with Armao at JNG, we get another decent addition to the Squad. Armao has been in the academy for a few splits now and during his tenure has above-average stats for the league. Liquid is favorited here and for good reason. EG still plays a volatile style that leaves a lot up to their opponents not taking advantage of their midlane mistakes. Liquid is an experienced squad and coaching staff and will be punishing EG's mistakes left and right. Look to get some Liquid exposure into your lineups.
Evil Geniuses also makes for a decent GPP play on the slate as they arent too big of a dog and the game total on this one is the highest on the slate. In today's meta games are so "snowbally" that one team fight can lead to a game win so nearly any play makes sense in the grand scheme of things.
Top Liquid Plays: Armao, Jensen
Top Evil Geniuses Plays: Danny, Svenskeren

Dignitas vs. 100 Thieves
Dignitas had a miracle run during spring and since they've been swapping their roster around they've shown no life. Akaadian and Yusui are good players and are aggressive in wins according to the data but they just haven't shown the ability to work well with the rest of Dignitas. 100 Thieves has also had a rough start to the split but their struggles arent due to lack of experience or chemistry.
100 Thieves makes a ton of sense to use in Cash as well as in GPPs as they've shown to have an extremely high ceiling no matter what the books "predict" for game totals. They are an extremely aggressive team and while for the most part this bodes well for their stacks it can also leave the door open to the possibility of Dignitas stacks. All DIG needs is one team fight to break this game wide open. If Dignitas shows some chemistry today we could be into a good, aggressive game.
Top Dignitas Plays: Neo, Akaadian
Top 100 Thieves Plays: Closer, Abbedagge
TSM vs. FlyQuest
This might be the first week that I'm not all over FlyQuest. I've done my best to be anti-TSM this split but they just dominate and crush teams in their own style. TSM is not a play I'm super happy about for dfs but will likely have some in secondary stacks and team slot one offs. They play a slow style in which they slowly choke out their opponents on their way to victory. I don't see myself touching FQ too much on this slate even though I do like their play style for DFS a bunch.
All in all, TSM makes for a good secondary stack. They don't score insanely well in wins and they have a very concentrated kill share most of the time
Top TSM Plays: PowerOfEvil, TSM
Immortals vs. CLG
CLG over the last few weeks has begun to show life as a contender in this league. When playing tough teams they compete well and when playing average teams they dominate. Even with all of the drama in the staff and team that has been rumored, they've continued to show up and play good LOL.
There's no standout player on CLG in my opinion they're all good in DFS with the exception of their support. Immortals is also a good DFS team in general so this game is definitely one I want to get a lot of exposure to. I'm looking to use one side or the other of this one in at least half of my lineups for today. Books have it as one of the higher total games and I think it exceeds expectations as they teams enjoy a good skirmish.
Top Immortals plays: Raes, Insanity
Top CLG Plays: Broxah, Finn, Pobelter
Summary
- C9 should be a priority in most formats, they have insane per-win numbers and generally have very good DFS scores.
- Dignitas shows some promise for DFS if they can have some team chemistry, and I will be using a moderate amount.
- CLG has shown that they like to fight, a lot. They and their opponents make for solid GPP plays.
- I'm not one to make predictions but I'm going to have a fun 5 game parlay each week where I post my picks here in the summary. This week I'm going with C9, Liquid, 100 Thieves, TSM, CLG. Not to say I wont have exposure to the dogs in GPPs! Good luck to all that are playing this weekend!
