LCS DFS Picks for 6/20/21 - LOL Daily Fantasy for FanDuel, DraftKings

Expert League of Leagues (LoL) analysis and LCS DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on 6/20/21.

Hey everyone, good morning/afternoon, and welcome to RotoBaller's coverage of League of Legends DFS for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Be on the lookout for coverage of the LPL, LCK, and LEC as well as we have some great analysts covering all LoL leagues for the Summer Split. Today, I'll be focusing on the 5-game LCS slate starting at 4 P.M. EST.

My name is Nathan Van Hare and I'll be covering LCS content for the summer split here on RotoBaller! I'm new to RotoBaller but I'm not new to the esports DFS area. I've been playing all the esports DFS I can get my hands ever since April of 2020 and hardly missed a day. As someone who didn't know much about esports 2 years ago, It has really surprised me to see how passionate and dedicated I've become about something I knew next to nothing about just two years ago.

Today I'll be bringing you my League of Legends advice and analysis for the five-game LCS slate that locks on Sunday, June 20th, at 4:00 PM. Thanks for reading, you can find me on Twitter @nvanhareDFS for more DFS related content!

LCS Matchups

  • TSM (+110) vs. Cloud9 (-133)
  • Dignitas (-100) vs. CounterLogic Gaming (-121)
  • Liquid (-115) vs. 100 Thievers (-105)
  • Evil Geniuses (-263) vs. Golden Guardians (+210)
  • Immortals (-165) vs. FlyQuest (+135)

C9 vs. TSM

This is definitely an odd slate where all of our normal mega-favorites are in games facing each other. TSM plays at such a slow pace and this game should be close so C9 stacks are likely not where I get most of my exposure today. That being said, all members o this game and 100T/TL likely come in under-owned because people don't like having to "predict" a winner in these close spots. Both sides of this game make for good gpp plays in low exposures.

Top C9 Plays: Perkz, K1ng, Blaber

Top TSM Plays: PowerOfEvil

Dignitas vs. CounterLogic Gaming

This is a game that I'm really excited about and I'm sure many others are too. Two scrappy teams that play fast pace and love team fighting and exciting games. This one is definitely a game that I'm looking to touch on often in my lineups. CLG has really stepped it up this weekend and has shown that they can contend with the best. Dignitas however has been quieter and hasn't had a breakout game in a while. This could definitely be a result of their changed roster without Soligo or Dardoch. But at the core of Neo, aphromoo, and FakeGod this team still should like to play fast. CLG's top and mid are the priorities in their stacks as they are the carry's for this team.

Top CLG Plays: Finn, Pobelter

Top Dig Plays: Neo, Yusui

100 Thieves vs. Team Liquid

Another game of two top teams pitted against one-another. I do feel much more strongly on this one than the other but that's not saying too much. 100 Thieves has struggled this split without a doubt and Liquid has proven to be a team that no one wants to play. Liquid stacks are going to be worth a good look in GPPs as they are in a close game and should come in lower owned than expected. Even in a close game there's always ceiling potential for any team in LOL.

Top TL Plays: Tactical, Jensen

Top 100 Thieves Plays: Abbedagge, Closer

Evil Geniuses vs. Golden Guardians

EG is going to come into today as the chalkiest stack in gpps and cash alike. In cash, they make for a great play as they are the biggest favorite, in a high total game, and playing a team that really needs a full new roster if they want to be taken seriously. In GPPs It's smart to avoid this stack as your main 4-stack as they are going to be over-owned in this spot. Look to get main stack exposure elsewhere and use EG as a secondary portion of your lineup. Now If you want to be an independent thinker and play GG here, all power to ya, but just know that this is not a spot that GG does well in often.

Top EG Plays: Anyone but Jiizuke

Immortals vs. FlyQuest

This is the other game that having exposure to both sides is a good idea. This game is between two very mediocre at best teams and could likely lead to a fiesta. Immortals have shown recently that they have the ability to play well and compete and FlyQuest has done the same in the past few weeks with a few close games where they were outmatched. Raes and Insanity are the priorities for Immortals while Josedeodo and Palafax are the priorities for FlyQuest. Immortals seem more likely to edge out in terms of skill here, but here's to hoping FQ can make this one fun and competitive.

Top Immortals plays: Raes, Insanity

Top FlyQuest Plays: Palafox, Josedeodo

Summary

  1. C9 vs. TSM and Liquid vs. 100T gives us close games of the top dogs in the league. Ownership should be very spread out today but likely lands a lot of EG.
  2. FlyQuest is my favorite option for a lower-owned underdog stack followed closely by Dignitas. Both have high ceilings and should be under-utilized.
  3. While for the most part I wont be using TSM/C9/100T/TL stacks, I will have some of C9 and TL as ownership should be lower on them than normal given the close nature of the games.
  4. I'm not one to make predictions but I'm going to have a fun 5 game parlay each week where I post my picks here in the summary. This week I'm going with C9, Dignitas, Liquid, Evil Geniuses, FlyQuest. Good luck to all that are playing this weekend!
