LCS DFS Picks for 7/30/21 - League of Legends Daily Fantasy for FanDuel, DraftKings

Nathan Van Hare's League of Leagues (LoL) analysis and LCS DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on 7/30/21. He discusses the LCS LoL slate and his top targets for cash games and GPPs.

Hey everyone, good morning/afternoon, and welcome to RotoBaller's coverage of League of Legends DFS for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Be on the lookout for coverage of the LPL, LCK, and LEC as well as we have some great analysts covering all LoL leagues for the Summer Split. Today, I'll be focusing on the 5-game LCS slate starting at 6 PM EST.

Last night's LPL/LCK slate was insane, with a game stack taking the win in the end, I definitely didn't have any of those. Really fun LCS slate to kick off the weekend of games. Almost every game is a toss-up and should be interesting to watch.

Today I'll be bringing you my League of Legends advice and analysis for the five-game LCS slate that locks on Friday, July 30th, at 6:00 PM. Thanks for reading, you can find me on Twitter @nvanhareDFS for more DFS related content!

LCS Matchups

  • Team SoloMid (+115) vs. 100 Thieves(-139)
  • Evil Geniuses (+106) vs. Cloud9(-128)
  • Flyquest (+101) vs. Golden Guardians (-123)
  • Immortals (+148) vs. Liquid (-181)
  • Dignitas (-157) vs. CounterLogic Gaming(+129)

Team SoloMid vs. 100 Thieves

Battle of the top two teams in the LCS currently. This game likely gets overlooked a good amount on this slate and for good reason. Neither team has a blistering pace and TSM definitely loves to slow things down. In addition, this one is for pride at the top of the LCS. I see both teams taking this very seriously and us possibly seeing a snoozefest overall. I likely will have exposure to this game in the form of small stacks.

This game isn't one that you should target for cash games, but rather should be used as a GPP type game only. I give the slight edge to 100T here but in GPPs am likely to have more exposure to TSM due to ownership

Top TSM Plays: PowerOfEvil, Lost
Top 100T Plays: Closer, Abbedagge

Evil Geniuses vs. Cloud9

A rematch of a game that happened a few weeks back. Then we saw EG take the win in a grueling close game. This is not what we should expect from this one though. Both of these teams aren't ones to play slow, technical games and I expect to see a kill fiesta here. C9 is favored slightly and they have an effect on ownership in DFS where their opponents always get less ownership than they should. Because of this I likely look to incorporate EG 4 and 2 stacks into my builds often.

This game is likely going to be decided by early game skirmishes and snowball from there, both sides are very live. I would likely use C9 as a my small cash stack on this slate.

Top C9 plays: Zven, Blaber
Top EG plays: Danny, Impact

FlyQuest vs Golden Guardians

This is tied for my favorite game on the slate. FQ has shown their ability to be good in closely matched games and this one is exactly that. FQ changed their lineup up this week bringing back in Josedeodo and Palafox and sending Nxi and Triple back to academy. Jose/Palafox are going to fit right in this team as the gameplan was being run through mid-lane and jungle anyways.

Golden Guardians and FlyQuest alike have shown the ability to have high kill, high kill participation, ceiling fantasy score days in which they become necessary in GPPs. I likely will have exposure to this game in more than 50% of my lineups. I'll probably lean towards FlyQuest stacks as people love Golden Guardians so they might be a bit too chalky for my liking.

Top FQ Plays: Josedeodo, Palafox
Top GG Plays: Ablazeolive, Stixxay

Immortals vs. Liquid

This game is the game I'm most likely to have my main cash stack from. Liquid is being disrespected in these odds. As long as Alphari play, Liquid is a contender in this league while Immortals are not. Even with Immortals coming out and dominating last week, I'm likely to use Liquid in cash formats as the main piece.

In GPPs the IMT play really looks nice. They are the biggest dog on the slate so they should have some suppressed ownership, even with their big win last time out. Liquid I'll likely be looking at small stacks of Jensen+Alphari or Tactical+Alphari, really any mix of those 3 players in 2 stacks is what I'm looking to be using. I do give the edge to Liquid in skill but it's only a singular game, anything can happen.

Top IMT Plays: Raes, Insanity

Top TL Plays: Tactical, Alphari, Jensen

Dignitas vs. CounterLogic Gaming

This game is my favorite one on the slate. CLG has been continuously fighting hard in their games to redeem themselves from a terrible split and a terrible loss to IMT a few weeks back. They put up fights with every time over the last few games and I expect to see the same with Dignitas today. Dignitas is also the second-largest favorite on the slate so it's likely they see heightened ownership. Both teams in this game love to die in losses and rack up kills in wins. This is a formula for a high kill winner in this one and I'll be trying to target this game as often as possible in my GPP builds.

I give the slight edge to CLG in terms of heart and want to win, but DIG is a better team for sure. I'm likely heavier on CLG in GPPs and expecting very low ownership on them in this one

Top DIG plays: Neo, FakeGod.
Top CLG Plays: Broxah, Finn

Summary

  1. DIG vs. CLG and FQ vs. GG are my two favorite games to target in GPPs.
  2. In cash look to target Liquid first but C9 is a good secondary stack
  3. EG and TSM make for fun leverage off of 100T and C9 relative chalkiness and I'll have a bunch
  4. I'm not one to make predictions but I'm going to have a fun 5 game parlay each week where I post my picks here in the summary. This slate I'm going with TSM, C9, FQ, TL, CLG! Good luck to all that are playing this weekend!
