Hey peeps, welcome back to my daily LOL article where I try to give you the most complete analysis and insight that I can into every LPL and LCK matchup.
Once again, yesterday was a wild slate with V5 being the only team to record a sweep. DWG wasn't able to maintain a lead in game three after an excellent baron play by the side of Gen G, and IG fought off FPX, possibly turning a corner. We're back for four more games on freaky Friday, and really how could it be any crazier than yesterday, right?
I'll be providing my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LCK/LPL slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 4:00 AM on Friday, June 26th, 2020. Make sure you follow me on Twitter @Mr_Malmanger as I often post starting lineups when I see them and other useful info for the slate.

LCK Matches
4:00 AM Afreeca Freecs vs. T1 (-475)
This should be a great slate for GPPs, starting right with this LCK matchup. T1 were the class of the league in spring, and are off to a good start trying to keep themselves there. One thing we must recall from spring is that AFS split with T1 in the double round-robin. So while T1 comes in as a leading candidate to retake the summer title, Afreeca shows an impressive run of form.
T1 has been a bit better in the early game with an advantage in heralds, first blood, first drake, and gold differential at 15 minutes. AFS has the edge in first turrets, dragons overall, and baron percentage. Mystic has been out of his mind so far this split, and this meta suits him so well. Teddy is always in the conversation for the best ADC in the league. The smart money is on T1 in this one, but you can roll out some AFS stacks in GPP.
Top T1 Plays
- Faker - MID
- Cuzz - JNG
- Canna - TOP
- T1 Team
Top AFS Plays:
- Mystic - ADC
- Ben - SUP
- Kiin - TOP
- AFS Team
7:00 AM: Team Dynamics vs. HLE (-140)
This line opened at -175 for HANWA! It's down to -140 already and is likely to continue its downward trend, especially after another diaster from the side of HLE and another solid win from TD. Dynamics have gotten off to good starts in their matches and seem to be among the best early game teams in the league. Hanwa, on the other hand, are not, and we will see TD have an advantage in first blood, first turret, gold differential at 15 minutes, and rift heralds. TD has also shown that they are very coordinated during team fights and around objectives.
Hanwa hasn't shown nearly as much coordination. They have relied on Viper and Lehends to attempt to 2 v 8 in the late game. This set will go down one of two ways, and either TD will get ahead early and snowball the lead into the end of the game, or HLE will be able to survive until the late game and
Viper can do his thing. For my money, I think I'll be trusting in TD to carry on with the coordination and team fight skills that have brought them into the LCK in the first place. We have seen stranger things than a team that has looked dead all split spring to life suddenly and ruin our day.
Top TD Plays:
- Kuzan - MID
- Beyond - JNG
- Rich - TOP
- TD Team

LPL Matches
5:00 AM: Rogue Warriors vs. WE (-475)
The last time we saw this matchup, it was the famous WeiYan game, and after that, we saw Haro come in and re-establish himself as the starter. Youdang has come and gone, and we now see Haro coming full circle as the starter for RW's side. We have seen how vital jungle matchup has been this split, and I kind of like Haro in this one. Think about what C9 and Blaber can do in NA. You know that I love Beishang, but remember that in spring Haro had a higher gold percentage, greater damage, better kill participation, and better kill share than Beishang.
We have two teams on total opposites of the spectrum here, and maybe I'm dumpster diving a bit to try to find a play that no one else is on, but RW did take WE to three games in the spring with a jungler on the take. I'm going to take RW's side to pick up their first win of the season here and probably be dead wrong. WE are very expensive on both sites, and I expect them to be popular. They also have a lot on their plate with matches versus RNG and JDG on the docket for next week. I'm going to play RW here, and that will let me load up on TES in the next match, but as I've already told you about some other viable underdogs, you can and should have some WE exposure as well.
The RW starting lineup is out, and while I like Holder, and it is his birthday, they swap too much to trust anyone outside of Zwuji and Haro. Xunyu is the support player for RW Shark their LDL team he can play a mean Thresh and a few other meta champs. There is a chance he will be given the entire series win, lose, or draw. These late-breaking changes to the lineup make me like RW a little less and WE a bit more.
Top WE Plays:
- Juimeng - ADC
- Missing - SUP
- Beishang - JNG
- Morgan - TOP
Top RW Plays:
- Haro - JNG
- Zwuji - ADC
- RW Team
7:00 AM: TES (-335) vs. EDG
We got news yesterday that EDG starting ADC Hope was treated for a collapsed lung. It is something that affected him last year as well, but as he was serving as Iboy's backup, it wasn't made a big deal. So we won't see the starting ADC for EDG in this one, and instead, it will be his backup BBD taking to the stage. He has been with the EDG Youth squad in the LDL for years, and I expect them to go with either an Ezreal or Kalista pick up for him.
I don't know that any of that matters as far as DFS purposes on Friday, though. TES showed us that even in less than stellar matchups, they could get the job done on the fantasy rift. I think with the backup ADC in EDG would be best served to try to push through mid and try to get Scout going against Knight. TES will have a full week off after this match, so I don't think we'll catch them napping in this one like some of the other top teams, Ahem, RNG. TES sweep this easily, and hopefully they keep the pedal to the metal with the kills.
Top TES Plays:
- Knight - MID
- Karsa - JNG
- Jackeylove - ADC
- Yuyanjia - SUP
Summary
- TES should smash a short-handed EDG, WE should destroy the winless RW, T1 is the best team in Korea, TD is the next Griffin from promotion to worlds, all of these things could be true or none. HLE and RW will be hungry for their first wins, EDG could win one for the Gipper as TES look past them, and AFS simply has to repeat something they already did in the spring to turn this slate on its head.
- I do worry a bit about the upside from TES with a seemingly easier matchup. They might not return enough fantasy points for the price.
- Team Dynamics should be very chalky again with their prices and the matchup. We're getting them at a discount again versus a winless team that hasn't looked good at all. TD/TES for cash games seems like the right route.
