BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED: 12% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. proved to be one of the top pass-catching options for quarterback Gardner Minshew II in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts. Shenault was targeted four times in the game and caught three passes for 37 yards and a touchdown. He also carried the ball two times for 10 yards in the game.
Keelan Cole was the only receiver on the Jaguars who earned more targets (five) in the game than Shenault. DJ Chark Jr. was third on the team amongst receivers with three targets. Chark led all receivers on the team in snaps at with 42, while Cole was next with 33 and Shenault was third with 31. No other receiver had more than 16 snaps.
Shenault certainly figures to be a regular contributor to the Jaguars' offense. Cole, who is Shenault's main competition for targets, is coming off a disappointing year where he saw just 35 targets over 16 games and caught 24 passes for 361 yards and three touchdowns. Chark will be the team's No. 1 receiver until further notice, but he'll be primarily running deep routes while shorter routes will be available for the taking.
Add Shenault in all PPR leagues of 14 teams or deeper. He can be a solid WR3 or flex option in those formats going forward.
