On Saturday afternoon, the NASCAR Cup Series held the qualifying session for Sunday's South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This qualifying session consisted of two rounds and the drivers were split into two groups. The top five fastest drivers from each group advanced to the second round.
The five fastest drivers that advanced out of the first group were: Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, Bubba Wallace, Martin Truex, Jr., and Tyler Reddick.
The five fastest drivers that ended up advancing out of the second group were: Christopher Bell, William Byron, Chris Buescher, Ross Chastain, and Joey Logano.
